I love the energy in this thread and this is my favorite to win, but ''Shum'' is nowhere to be found in Sweden's, Norway's or Denmark's Spotify Top 50 (those are the only ones I checked).

Oh I see, always thought this was weekly for some reason...

On iTunes they're top. 10 in Sweden though, but I don't know anyone really using that...

I don't expect Swedes to like this musically though, but people seem to like it when they experience it live on the show (at least people I talked to) so maybe it's just one of those entries that people vote for and enjoy on the ESC stage but don't seek out to listen to afterwards? I can get that to some extent as this entry is more of an experience...

I see, well that bodes well for the Swedish votes at least...

I mean the Swedish press has been pretty supportive of the entry as well... they call it bonkers and completely impossible to understand (which I think for Swedish ears makes sense) but that it's still one of the best entries and mesmerizing.

Pretty good performance, but i don't get the "magical mood" that Wiwibloggs and others were so enthusiastic about.... i thought the performance looked rather stiff and cramped, i don't get why they were stuck on such a small part of the stage, and i didn't feel "enveloped" by the mystical landscape either, as some others described it..... still, it sticks out enough for a decent placement, possibly top 10.

I believe the props are inspired by the birch forests near Chernobyl. Not sure if it explains the cramptedness, but that's where the concept comes from.

Apparently Katya had parts of her lungs operated off due to some disease she was facing as a child and thus has a lower breathing capacity than what is normal... if that is true and she still manages to sing like this then I'm really in awe!
