People should relax and think logically before jumping on this bandwagon. The fact that Maruv posted parts of the contract publically might in itself be a breach of contract and it's kind of unprofessional (but I don't see anyone mention that).
It's so apparent that there are accounts out there in this hybrid warfare against Ukraine using all platforms to discredit the country, and people are taking the bet way too easily without questions so what one should ask oneself: How come things that happen in many selections gets so focused on when it comes to Ukraine?
As for contracts, it's just natural that the winning acts sign contracts with the broadcasters and that the performance, schedule, promos and rights for song are included in such contracts. These are natural things, but of course there is no outcry for other selections because there is no Internet army out there making a big fuss about such things when suddenly in the case of Ukraine it's an "outrage".

I will watch Eurovision but Ukraine doesn't exist for me on this contest anymore.
P. S. Actually I understand those people who don't support Maruv and her affairs in Russia. But this mess could've been easily been prevented. I think Ukraine should withdraw from ESC after this.

i wouldn't be surprised if the channel now backed off to keep her in a "we didn't expect her to actually refuse to sign" situation. this is a mess and i doubt this is just how it's going to end.

So she doesn't want to fulfill her contract and whole Ukraine is the bad guy?
Every broadcaster signs contracts with their winners, only in this case the winner whine about it publically and wants it to fit her agenda... but I see no one questions that type of "professionalism"... imagine if all winners in various countries would act like this...

Why banning? It's up to the broadcasters to do what they want, should they ban other countries as well for various selection issues ?

i reiterate that yes ebu cannot and should not interfere but i also fail to see how this doesn't come off as extremely bad for UABC. they are allowing only maruv's side of the story to be known by people. yes, a-lister might be right that the contract isn't unreasonable and maruv is being sifficult to work with, but we don't know that. all we know is that they have insane politicians and that maruv really wanted to do it despite the contract. as long as those are the only facts we have, i stay on maruv's side in this.

If it happened yesterday I'd be devasted but today I was ready for this outcome. The worst thing is that our reputation as a country destroyed forever. IT HAS NEVER BEEN SO THAT UKRAINIAN EUROFANS ASKED EBU TO DSQ UKRAINE FROM ESC!
