Ok, just came back from a great gathering with a friend and now this. I am shook. I am upset. I could cry. I am devastated. I am beyond aggressive. A legend goes and the level of the ESC is dropping to an immense amount. We've lost our queen. And rightfully so. She deserves a career in Ukraine and Russia. What has been done here is a scandal and disaster. Its probably the worst thing that could have ever happened. This year is going down in books for the worst year ever. I am done. I am donnnne.

The whole national selection was just one big circus which was broadcasted in live. I can´t imagine Adal or Melodifestivalen or Supernova with Eesti Laul where jurors ALLOW themselves to ask participants questions about their political views or blame them for concerts in another country, even if its a country with which you currently have war or watever. Its sad when jurors force singers to state juror´s opinions just to make sure that they will recieve enough points from them. And what is more sad is that national broadcaster dictates its own rules towards life of contestant apart from ESC week. Its sad and I perfectly understand decision of MARUV. Watch carefully this drama has just begun. Freedomjazz also have scheduled concerts in Russia. How much have Kazka paid?

And what is more, Maruv is gonna be the next Ani Lorak ( ESC 2008) or Loboda ( Esc 2009) who are traitors of the nation rn for making their career in Russia. Its sad because its just a job and people love music eveywhere despite wars and political games. Kazka's plakala is number one hit in Russia rn and I heard it billions of times in the clubs, bars and on the radio. It is sung in Ukranian and no one says a shit. Just sad and unfair towards representatives of UA show business.

This is no time for jokes, so I'm going to be very serious when reminding us all that at least we potentially have the beautiful spud of a song from Hera Björk of Iceland coming very soon.



I'm devastated though to hear this news from Maruv. I was starting to totally fall for her song. I had been listening to it all day and even showed it to a friend of mine who thought it was iconic. Now said friend will only ironically enjoy Bilal Hassani, and that just makes me emotional, and high levels of depressed. What is the point anymore?

According to rumours UA:pBC didn't like all Vidbir finalists :lol:

STB should end the contract with UA:pBC... you win Vidbir and some sick f**k from the government withdraws you just because he didn't like you.

I love the irony here though.Maruv would of sucked up eastern votes and maybe stopped Russia winning ESC.By stopping her going Ukraine are probably helping Russia get one hand on the trophy.Imagine Russia winning and thanking Ukraine for helping by not sending Maruv.
It as disgusting the way Jamala asked her political questions as well.It was obvious Maruv would win,so why did they let her enter if they were so bothered?.

So wait a sec.. Yeah there are these political debates but this is one extra that leads to this withdrawal. Dont you DARE tell me that. Withdraw Ukraine! WITHDRAW! Shame on you! I am sooo soooo sooo pissed right now. I am sorry, I cannot put it into words.

I seriously can't imagine any of slovenian politicians even talking about EMA, let alone intervene. WTF? xfacepalm

And sure, politics can be a touchy subject. And I don't want to pick a side, but this is about music festival and clearly UA:pBC (or the government) is taking things too far once again.

It would be nice to see solidarity and all of them refuse, but I doubt it. We're probably goin to see Freedom Jazz or Kazka (who I'm sure they wanted all along) in Tel Aviv.

I think KAZKA will. They're definitely desperate enough to accept it and the Ukrainian government definitely should be capable of empathizing with acts known to have bad management and bad attitudes :)


(lol snark aside, Apart > Siren Song for me so it would still remain a 12 regardless.)
