These are some of the saddest news that is Eurovision related, I have experienced in quite some time. Ukraine is of course allowed to whatever they want in choosing their song for Eurovision, but this isn't a fair way. They can't force her to cancel her concerts in Russia, lose thousands of money and break other contracts that has been made already. I understand her choice, she just can't break those contracts from before or she would be totally ruined. And this is some sneaky way to make some extra coverage to Ukraine as a country. Not a good way though.

I understand the political problems that Ukraine are having. They could have done this in a completly different way, making all acts competing in the NF sign a deal. Instead, they went amaturish, just make the NF without thinking about consequences. This is a shit show if you ask me, and I hope that Ukrainian TV look itself in the mirror and really think through to next year to not have the same problems. Cause this ain't the first time that Ukraine has made a mess of a national final...

And to Maruv, this song is a banger and in the end, she is the winner of it all. She has got a lot of recognition by winning Vidbir, people all around are looking at her spellbounding performance from Saturday. She will have a great career and I wish her the best. And maybe hopefully, in a not too distant future, she might have an another great song and that she can get to perform on the biggest stage in the world! :)

And I personally thought that MARUV vs Tamta (I feel like their songs are similar) would've been really interesting

For me there is one way to get this right .. Have MARUV as an interval act, I am serious! This my friends is the least thing they can do. I found a new singer that I will support in the future. A true artist and her words on instagram that I just translated on Google touched me sooo deeply, I had tears in my eyes.

Why won't you start a petition or something. Back in 2013 or 2014, even Belarus admitted to the mistake and they've sent someone the public wanted. If it's possible in Belarus....

I agree, but I dont think Ukraine would listen. Its Ukraine after all. I am so damn sorry for it all.

She actually made a statement yesterday that she was ready to cancel all her tours and that she is Ukranian and a citizen of Ukraine and wants to participate from her own country. Besides, she is ready to take all the budget problems and pay for everything. The problem is that contract dictates too much things like what to speak, what to do and yeah, how to develop your career. Actually it would be a trap for her both ways. Accepting contract would mean prevention of her career in Russia, where she has decent popularity. Rejecting means that she will continue her career in Russia and it will close her doors in Ukraine. Its very sad situation, but I believe she will just win from it all. She is a victim of political games and her BANG is a BANG indeed so she will chart in Russia, Ukraine and the whole Europe even higher as everyone will speak about her anyways.

Interesting that after this news I don't really feel anything. Maybe a disappointment, but just for 1-2 seconds. After this I stopped caring. Ukraine now is ordinary ESC country for me, like Malta or Latvia.

Thankfully we have Melodifestivalen next two weeks :)

Her instagram post is incredible. I've got so much respect for her. It's such a sad, sad situation but MARUV is incredibly strong, and she wasn't going to be anyone's puppet.

Tell 'em girl! Disgusting though how she's been treated. This whole thing has made me very angry.
