Ruslana's behaviour today, when she, like SICK nationalist asked SunSay in front of everybody what does he think on Crimea made me PUKE! ;)

That girl is shi-di-ri-di-duy shi-di-ri-di-da-na
And she remind a lot on our own opajdara (I think that appropriate english word is jade) Maja Railwomen Nikolić

I don't even know what to feel right now. On one hand, I've been really hyping Jamala, I'm thrilled to see her win, and she's now my runaway winner from all the songs selected so far. On the other hand, I feel like The Hardkiss had the better performance tonight, and they probably would've topped my list as well. Both songs are amazing, and it's so hard for me to compare them... this is the first time I've had to deal with having two songs in the same NF that could both be my #1 favourite of the year. Jamala's going to be amazing, sure, but even then, seeing The Hardkiss miss out makes me sad. That performance was mesmerising, and I think it would've been at least top 5 at Eurovision (whereas I think Jamala, being a little less mainstream, will probably be somewhere around the lower top 10).

Can't Ukraine just send two entries this year, please? Well, I suppose the best I can hope for is that The Hardkiss send something just as good to the NF next year, and we get two amazing Ukrainian ESC years in a row. I was probably going to be confused like this whichever of the two won, so for now, I suppose I should just be happy with getting my first 12 of the season, and hope that the inevitable revamp brings out the charm of the song even more rather than ruining it. Go Jamala!

I am sure the lyrics are meaningful; and it's definitel not about love and dancing. And yes - it's great to hear a new language in the contest. I love the fact that it doesnt sound like anything you hear on the radio on a daily basis. There are ethnic elements here - a big pluss!! And I am VERY happy to see Ukraine back in the ESC - welcome!

But then...apart from all the positive things there is to say about this song; While listening to this, with or without watching the live performance - my mind keeps on drifting off to more exciting things; like when do I have to get up tomorrow? Did I remember to lock the door? hmmmm - and I wonder at what time I will be able to finish work tomorrow.... ?

I am sorry.... I dont see the beauty of this. I am left untouched. But I have put the alarm clock on 06.00am...

I like Jamala's performance more than the song itself. I mean, hust an audio version wouldn't do anything to me, but watching her performing it xclap It reminds me feeling towards Pastora Soler, great singer with an average song.

Well, it's kinda useful to you nonetheless, you should listen to it whenever you feel like you've forgotten something you have to think about :D

A good and interesting song. But maybe the reject it because of the political statement.

I know Crimea is Ukrainian territory, I know that Tatars suffered too much during Stalin period.
The ownership of Crimea has been shifted from Russia to Ukraine and then to Russia without even consulting fairly the Crimean people, especially ethnic Tatar people.
But please declare it in occasions other than Eurovision Song Contest.
And music-wise, I'm sorry this is a bit terrible for me, but I like the fact that Crimean Tatar is used for the first time in this Contest.
So, forgive me Jamala, Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian people, 2 points and no more.

I'm actually quite happy with him... I was able to place a bet on him winning MF at long odds and then lay it off when it got shorter, so he's given me some free money

Speaking of betting, I, uh... may have accidentally placed a bet on Ukraine in the outright instead of Latvia due to a misclick. Anyone willing to take a 19/1 bet on Jamala winning?
