What does it matter how Russia reacts? Ukraines days of bowing down and answering to Russia's every call is over. It's Ukraines entry, not Russias'.

Exactly. But remember last year? It was Armenias entry. Azerbaijan complained, they had to change the title as a compromise. I don't favor this, I only suppose this will be a possible scenario.

It can be deemed as too political. There is a reason Armenia had to change their title last year so it can easily be the case for Ukraine as well, regardless whether or not we agree with it.

I guess that's down to how people interpret the song. Tbh I'm not really that bothered what they call it. As long as they don't mess with it in their epic revamp Ukraine love to to do, and ruin the authenticity of the song.

Finally, sense is spoken. Whatever side you agree with (if any), this could easily be deemed too political. If they forced Armenia to change the title last year, no reason why they won't do it with Ukraine this year, along with some of the lyrics.

The song will be improved. Most def the new song title ("Souls", like it was written originally?).
If she finds a team like she promised on that stage the ESC staging will be different as well.

I just watched her performance from tonight and I think I preferred how she sang it in the semi-final.

Ok. Bought victory aside. It's better than their worst song to dare "B MA GEST", but not by much. And just like Gaitana she has a dreadfully annoying voice too. Second worst Ukrainian song so far. And don't get me even started on how incredibly political this is. Don't deny 2.0

Political what ? It justs deals with a moment in history. Basically, it's the same thing as we sent last year (difference is that it's a great song while we sent 3 minutes of boredom sung by my neighbour...)

The Hardkiss will take part one more time in the next edition(s) if they have a right single, according to their words.

The press secretary of the president clearly thinks its political otherwise he wouldn't be tweeting people to vote for Jamala

If its deemed political it won't be because Russia threw a hissy fit. Combined with Ruslana and her ranting everybody knows the double meaning even if they want to keep their heads in the sand.

I listened to the live performance and it's way better than the studio recording. It feels a bit incomplete but I expect the Ukrainian revamp we all learned to love. Overall, I'm very happy with the choice. It's a song that comes from the heart and is not another "Love is Awesome" kinda song. I'm all for Diversity in the contest and I think we'll have quite a bit of that this year. Jamala is a great performer and the people of Ukraine have spoken so I'm happy for that fact alone.

FYI, it's wonderful to have you back Ukraine.

Very disappointed in Danilko giving his top points to NeAngely. Especially since he insisted people who were saying he'd be biased for them were wrong. Yeah, ok, dude.

I like the chorus more than the verses. Especially the ethnic melody is the heart of the song. I hope this survives the revamp (if there is one) and stays simple and intense.

Re: UKRAINE 2016

Because sometimes those 3 people might know what will get the best result than the many who were spun into a mass hysteria of patriotic fervour. Hell, the Ukrainian President's press secretary basically said if you don't vote for Jamala you aren't a patriot. I was ready to accept a Jamala victory before the show, but the way it was achieved leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

And this is where I will disagree with you. For me it's not about the results, it's about having a special entry you can feel proud of. If each country chose their entry with results in mind, can you imagine what the contest would be like? We'd have no Young Georgian Lolitaz, no "Suus" and we'd lose a host of other songs that have dared to be different from the commercial norm and stand out in some way. I know you love The Hardkiss' song very much but you're going on about it like as if it would have some humongous advantage over "1944". I strongly believe it doesn't and the results will *fingers crossed* speak for themselves this May. To be quite frank, I would have felt disgusted tonight if one man with a bee in his bonnet cost such a poignant, extraordinary song the win. If you want a group of experts to have more power over the public then you may as well just make it an internal selection.
