Ukraine is growing on me.. 10th for me tonight. Back when I first heard it, it was literally my 43rd, but it's climbing.
The lyrics are very touching.

Brilliant, wonderful, extraordinary win! So unexpected but I couldn't help but smile. Hopefully I'll be able to go to Kyiv next year for it too :)

It is interesting and it is different but that's not what a Eurovision song should be.

If a Eurovision song shouldn't be interesting or different, then what exactly do you want? 42 songs of dull manufactured pop??

I'm actually happy wih her winning, she was in my top 10, Dami was in my top 10, Poli in my top 5 and France was my 1st xheart

I really wanted France to win, so bad that for winning this contest at the you have to have 10 neighbours and a big diaspora, i've always said that countries of eastern europe like Azerbaijan are always voting shit.

I don't like this entry and I Don't want such a technical victory . Not a true winner for both jury and televoters. Anyway overrated a lot. Her place is beyond TOP-10.

Great song, one of my fav from the begining. Yesterday i sent one SMS for France and one for Ukraine so i can finally say that the winner is someone i voted for!

Anyway, does anyone know in what time Jamala will be back to Kyev and is there going to be some kind of celebration live on ukrainan national channel?

Congratulations Jamala xheart You were a Goddess last night, very powerful and touching performance. The cry was a masterpiece. Everything was perfect. I was taken aback in the semi, but what you did in the final (and especially when you were announced a winner) ans beyond everything one can imagine! Very worth winner! Have to admit I wanted Russia to win, but I am extreamally satissfied about your victory, you are a legend now!

One of the greatest Eurovision winners of all time! Jamala saved her best performance for last and Ukraine, go and enjoy this win because you really, really deserve this win.

So on the 100th anniversary of Eurovision, when they have all of these shows about the best ever Eurovision songs and the ones that really stick in your head, this is the one that is going to immediately pop into everyone's head? I think not.

Bring back the fun Eurovision that I used to love - I'm getting really tired of everyone taking it too seriously! Never my winner - Australia and Russia were far better.

To all the lovers of the Ukrainian song and even more to all those who were afraid of going to Moscow in 2017 cuz gays are so horribly treated there, here is something for you. Enjoy Kyev next year - I hope you come home alive :)

Performance was great but I still do not like the screaming witch style. Congratulations for Ukrajna! Wish you enough money to organise the contest!

What a sore looser sorry but Russia was proof that juries are necessary in Eurovision because televoters have no intention to keep the contest growing and alive.
Anyway I was soo happy when Ukraine won although Australia was my favourite however Ukraine was closely behind and I'm really happy that Jamala had no gimmicks whatsoever which might encourage next year entries to focus more on the songs rather than staging (unlike Russia which was a stage show with horrible background music).

Quite weird statements since we've already successfully hosted Eurovision in 2005 and Euro 2012 and there weren't any problems in such context then.

I thought it was funny her saying it was about her life when it must have been about something years before she was even born. Has to have had some political impact with those voters who knew what it was about or even it simply being from Ukraine and looking sad.

I am happy for Jamala and I think she's a great winner and a great artist!

Nevertheless, what leaves a bitter aftertaste of yesterday: she did neither win the jury vote NOR the public vote.... I think this has never happened before in Eurovision. A consequence of the new voting system?
