According to your logic we should not win because we are "broke"?

I don't think that Ukraine can host the contest next year. Plus, Eurovision would suck if Ukraine hosts it now. It would be full with the propaganda I don't want to see.

Also, the last time when Ukraine hosted, the show was really tasteless. I can go for ever with this.

This comment is so disgraceful and low I don't even know how to respond... and actually don't see the reason why anyone should respond to this. This is sad :(

Woh, woh, woh, woh... Yeah, it's hard to read, I feel very sorry for you. You mean that 'poor' countries shouldn't win Eurovision, because they wouln't afford hosting the show? What about fees that all countries give to EBU? Aren't they money for the show? Never mind, it is

Sean, Matt please do something. I do feel offended too. No one messes with my neighbours.

^ Let's keep it real, the hosting broadcaster pays the most for the hosting and Eurovision became a pretty expensive show in the last years. We are not in 2005 anymore. Ukraine has way more issues than hosting the Eurovision. No matter if we like it or not, money is a factor in the contest.

Wow, for someone who's as comfortable as they are throwing out accusations of xenophobia at other people...

To demonstrate you how I despise the words you have written about my homeland. And this is disturbing but not funny.

Don't listen to him; he's not here to make friends

Honestly i agree Eurovision in Ukraine would suck  I like 2005, but 2009 and 2013 were average. Let's be realistic - it will be major problem for Ukraine to host Eurovision at least on the same level as :se: :dk: and :at: did.

If it'd be difficult for Ukraine to host, that'd be one thing, but the question at hand was "would Ukraine fill Eurovision with propaganda?" and "how can someone who throws out accusations of xenophobia at forum member after forum member in good conscience say that he doesn't want Ukraine to host because they'd fill Eurovision with propaganda?"

What do you mean when you refer to 2005, 2009 and 2013?

If you mean 2013 Junior, than comparing to what was it 'average'? And what's the problem to host it on the Austrian level?
The only problem I see comparing to Sweden and Denmark is that we don't have such large indoor venues and probably we won't rebuild 'Leninskaya Kuznitsa' shipyard or hangars of 'Antonov Aircraft' plant as danes did it.
