I thought of replying to our beloved xenophobic troll but he has me on ignore so it wouldn't be fun at all
His words are meaningless anyway - :ua: rocks!

we don't have such large indoor venues
I wouldn't call Malmö or Globen large.

If you're dissatisfied with Sports Palace:
Esprit Lviv Arena

ask Düsseldorf how to adjust it.

Honestly i agree Eurovision in Ukraine would suck  I like 2005, but 2009 and 2013 were average. Let's be realistic - it will be major problem for Ukraine to host Eurovision at least on the same level as :se: :dk: and :at: did.

Ukraine put on great eurovision performances each year and invest a lot of time into it, I don't see why they wouldn't be great hosts tbh.

Really I thought Austria were awful hosts, so many things seemed to go wrong and Sweden 2013 wasn't exactly anything super exciting, the stage was basic and many people didn't like Petra.

They'll rig it so Ukraine will win. I can see this being a pissant EU geopolitical wankfest

The next year will be one long sob story... hopefully with some juicy corruption stories and lots paranoia from all sides.

Sports Palace is the same class venue as Wiener Stadthalle, so there are no problems with it. Moreover, unlike in 2005, now NSC Olimiyskiy is able to host press centre, etc.
P.S. Esprit Arena has it's own roof and is well adapted to rigging tons of equipment. Also logistically Lviv Arena is too far from all other needed infrastructure.
International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv could also be an option.

Is Lviv Arena completely roofed? Doesn't look like it. I might be wrong, but IIRC the EBU doesn't accept open-air locations for the ESC.

Austria last year (unfortunately I have to say) were terrible hosts, for me it was the worst Eurovision contest in the last ten years. If Ukraine wins I'm sure they will do an amazing job as hosts, just look at their Eurovision staging year after year, Ukraine definitely know how to put on a show.

I meant the same thing when I said "adjust" - building a roof is not neccessary, temporary roof is not something unusual these days. But it requires additional money & we have other venues )) Logistically it was suitable for Euro 2012 ,though if you compare it to other arenas...
IEC would be gr8 too, it's even a little bigger than Sports Palace.

Jamala is very bright and sincere person. Despite she's struggling a bit to speak English, her attitude and mood is so making me proud that we chosen her.

from a different angle with a better view of the LEDs:
According to journalists in the press room the 1st try was relaxed, she became more powerful in the next 2.
Big load of cheers & applause again.

I was expecting a criticism from ESCKaz blogger but received this: "In my opinion Ukraine is one of the main contenders for the victory this year".
