If she wanted to enter she would have entered long time ago. I guess she (or rather her producer) simply doesn't want to take risks.

Speaking of. Alexander Bard will write a song for NeAngely (predictable step for gay icons)... if it's something like Gravitonas then it can work, otherwise I'm not sure.

Cher looks awesome considering so many surgeries at her age unlike Bilyk who's way younger. She has to change her surgeon or she'll turn on fat Michael Jackson o_0 I'm not even bothered by her looks like I'm bothered about her using drugs, abusing people and throwing mics at journalists. Few months ago she revealed a backstage video depicting her having a real nervous breakdown and explained that she hates touring.

Some artists do change their minds you know... but the risk thing is probably true.

Eew Bard, he lost his mojo long ago. He was a pretty good composer back in the day, not so much any longer.

I'm not really following her career so can't really comment on it, as far as gossip goes well they're "fun" but in the end hard to tell what's true or not, I do however miss her better music days. Well, I can't say she's that bad either though because I actually enjoyed her last studio album "На Бис" quite a bit, but sure she has yet to top "Ома" and "Країна", and her latest songs haven't been anything special imo.

... as for Cher looking "awesome"... they both look plastic, sure Cher is older so it's a bit more tragic in the case of Iryna, but Cher has been looking plastic for a long time now aswell so hardly a "good example", but each to their own.

suggestion: Nadezhda Meiher

image.jpg

I got this thing for ex- Via Gra member Nadezhda Meiher lately, I'd love to see her representing Ukraine one day with a Konstantin Meladze production/composition (who also did Russia's entry Mamo for ESC 2009). Meiher is one of the original members of the Ukrainian(/-Russian) girl group and imo the most talented of all members that have been so far. Via Gra, as a group, got put on hold since early 2012, but currently there's a new talent-show on Ukrainian and Russian TV with the aim of finding a brand new trio that will make up a new constellation of the group brand. Meiher, and other ex- Via Gras, acts as jurors and mentors during the show.

Here's a video of Meiher performing with the trio she mentors for:

Meiher in the video for the Via Gra song Poshol von, her second last video as part of the group:

Here she impersonate Spanish operatic singer Montserrat Caballé aswell as Cher as part of the Ukrainian celebrity version of Stars in Their Eyes:

Who...is...that...lady...

Her

Know she's in the jury but what's her name!?!

That's Alyona Vinnitskaya, also a former- Via Gra member.

The ex-Via Gras / mentors of this show were just acting as juries when picking qualifiers and picking their trio to mentor, now they are just acting as mentors.

Yesterday in several press in Serbia an article appeared where was claimed that Goran Bregovic will be in charge of Ukrainian national final. They said that it will suppose to look something like the one held in Serbia back in 2010, when he was also in charge.

The press reported that at first he was just thinking about it, but then they paid 50.000 euros on his bank account. Today we have contacted NTU. and they were stunned with our question.

NTU after all is quite busy with Junior Eurovision 2013 preparations therefore they are not discussing the Eurovision 2014 national selection yet.

If all those names end up entering, plus Illaria and Renata, that would be a tough NF. I wouldn't even know for whom to root. Hopefully we'll get a few great songs and Ukraine ends up making a good choice.

Oh yeah, I should add those to the rumored list aswell! I forgot abot them...

Well, Illaria is amazing so she'd be my first pick, Mariya would be my second pick... hard to tell though because it all depends on the entries in the end...

Yeah, songs unheard, Illaria would probably be my top choice too. Then Mariya. Then Renata. All three have a lot of potential and could do well. If either one has a song in Ukrainian, she'd probably go to the front of the line.

I love NikitA and especially NeAngely, but not sure how they would do. I'm skeptical of their ability to perform live and latter's low voices could turn people off.

The outputs of Renata so far haven't been that interesting, and I didn't like her ESC attempt either (well I didn't like Mariay's past one either)... but maybe with the right song.

The highest chances of hearing Ukrainian would be with Illaria or Mariya I think.

Yeah, I have the same feeling about those acts, as for NeAngely I actually find her very deep voice interesting.

^I love NeAngely's deep voices. But I'm unsure of the reception from people who would be hearing it for the first time.

Illaria is without doubt the most contemporary artist in the Ukraine right now.The huge bonus as well for ESC is her music also involved traditional instruments and has a great ethnic/celtic undertone that always does well.
If she is in the 20 shed have to be a favourite to win (depending on the televote demographic). With the right song shed be a certain challenger in Copenhagen.
I also like Renata who with the right song could also do very well indeed.I just think Illaria though has the edge.
