Mariya Yaremchuk! I suggested her before and she did enter the last selection, but with a very weak song though. If she'd enter anything like these then she could be a good option:

I'd love that to happen, but she said something along the line of "as long as the selection format or NTU are corrupted, I will not enter" :/

Jamala think she's some sort of huge star in Ukraine, what she practically said was "as long as I'm not internally picked, I won't enter"... she also said that she's "above ESC". With her attitude I'd rather not, and it's not as if her music is all that either... but taste differs.

Same situation with Aleksandra Radović in Serbia

Okaaaay. Ukraine is officially in.
The NF is set on December or January (after countless January holidays, obviously). Once the Board meeting decides, the official announcement will appear on the site, maybe even this week.

According to NTU officials these people are interested:

- Vremya i Steklo band, so far this is the biggest name... millions of YT views.
They are finishing the new song now, it's different comparing to their previous style.

- Ne Angely (NF 2007), quite big in Ukraine + airplay in Russia.

- Vladimir Tkachenko, participated at least in 4 previous NFs  Not a real contender imo.

- Stas Shurins (NF 2010), former talent show participant.

- Illaria
The song hasn't been recorded yet but if she decides this will be some uptempo ethno-electro-rock, probably with tsymbals (national instrument). I'd love her to collaborate with Zlata's composer who also created our JESC entry this year.

In the recent interview Renata (NF 2012) also confirmed that she's preparing for the NF.

Erika wants to participate but not this year. Not a single entry has leaked so far.

I'm all for Illaria out of those mentioned, Erika would be nice (but apparently not this time around then?). I read that Iryna Bilyk's management has been in talks with NTU aswell....

^ As appeared it's just a rumour though Kirkorov offered her some help if she decides... but so far her producer chose NeAngely.

I'm actually surprised that it's even a rumor since I thought she had zero interest in this, if however she's in I'm pretty sure it would be her in the end...

I'm 100% sure that it could be a flop. She's a parody on herself.
Originally she recorded a duo with our famous singer Vitaliy Kozlovskiy for the NF 2010 but he performed it solo... and didn't make it even in the top 10)) She refused this time as well, thank gawd.

I think Vitalij was the problem back then...

Parody or not, she's got powerful people backing her up if she'd like to go which could be just enough to win in the end (regardless of public opinion). Anyways it's about the song, I still think she has decent material although she lost her "mojo" for sure.

I hope not. Ukraine's JESC entry this year is terrible. There's no melody. Zlata's entry could use some help in that department too. Illaria's music is better than that.

From the names you listed, I'm still hoping Illaria has a good song and ends up going. She's sure to have at least a bilingual song (Ukrainian/English). I love NeAngely, but how's their English? I don't want them going with a Russian song, considering Ukraine hasn't even sent a song fully in Ukrainian. I like Renata too. I know people were hating on her in 2011, and some of it was probably deserved given that her producer tried to game the system. However, she's easy on the eyes. She has a lovely voice. And she's had some decent songs already. If she records something as good as Opuskayu Oruzhie again, I'm all for her.

As much as I love Iryna Bilyk (the original one, not the version she's become now). She's past her expiration date.

She's had those people for years - what did prevent her every damn year then? She had A LOT of opportunities but she screwed all of them. Bilyk lost her popularity and became retired icon... and unlike Cher for instance she ruined her beauty & sanity + all those numerous scandals with drugs and inadecvate behavior closed not just ESC doors.
If she's got awesome entry nobody prohibits her to submit it though.

I adore our JESC entry - we simply can't win AGAIN (lol) so it's a nice dance song for the 2nd place, I like backing vocalists and programming. The intro reminds me Zlata a lot. Illaria's music has already used programming so... )))

Out of all those names I'm rooting for Illaria. Though something tells me that none of them will be the winner.

Lulz, kudos to every word in your last sentence.

Nothing prevented her, maybe she just didn't want to enter? What I meant is that if she decides to enter, she'd be a tough candidate because of her team alone. Kirkorov would be the producer apparently aswell.

Cher if anyone is a ruined beauty
