Congrats to any team who gets Leicester.. it's an easy walkover. Probably Real Madrid will be the lucky team as always but I hope it will be Dortmund vs Leicester so that we will see two German teams in semi final most probably

Kids these days!!! And Leicester has done anything different than Malaga or Deportivo, or is this your first time watching Champions League?? Every year there is one "small team" in the quarter finals.. Is just the way it is... Even Malaga did it.. I mean Come on.. Malaga?!!! Before Malaga it wa Chelsea when they were just the size of Leicester before the late 2000s ..

Why are you rolling your eyes? Is not like it is the biggest upset in Champions League history anyways!! The biggest upset goes to LOSC LILE.. they kicked out Parma on qualifying for Champions league 2002. You know how many people lost money that year?! Parma was dubbed to win Champions League that year and thought they had a very easy opponent and yet they fell to LOSC Lile a debutant in CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. so I AM NOT sure how LEICESTER being in Quarter Final is even merit worthy where teams like Deportivo La Corunia, Lile, Monaco, Basel, Zenit and not forgetting Malaga have all done it before and didnt get as much praise, and Champions league was even harder those years with players like Inzaghi, Raul Gonzalez, Barthez, Tafarel, Buffon (playing for Parma) Crespo, Zola etc etc..

So what?! I am tired of youngsters coming in these forums and saying how good this team is and how crap this team is and they have not even watched Champions League before 5 years ago.. When EPL and LA Liga took over .. It also makes me laugh how people even call Arsenal (who has only won one cup in Europe their whole life and that came on a back to back final against Parma having beaten them the year before in the final) a big team or Chelsea that until 5-7 years ago they were a Uefa , Intertoto and Relegation team..

A little tooo much of assuming the wrong things in here for me, but anyway Methusalem gets his answers.

Noone said that Leicester is the biggest surprise in UCL history.
Noone said that Arsenal is a big team, but I guess the gunners wish to be and that's why I see people laughing about them. Anyway, what are Valencia and Leverkusen to you?
I guess time's flying too fast for you. Chelsea won the UCL 5-7 years ago (what a horror that was). But noone referred to them, so I don't know where that comes from. Please stick to the forum topics.
The past brings beautiful memories, but Parma and La Coruna (or Leeds and Kaiserslautern. Glory to the days they played in the European cups!) are not able to perform in the same way like FIFTEEN or TWENTY(!) years ago. Maybe sad, but it happens.
The competition continues. I don't blame the current teams for not being Borussia Möchengladbach or Dynamo Dresden from the 70's.

I guess the biggest upset in CL history was the campaign of APOEL Nikosia who qualified for the quarterfinals in 2011/12. That's an unreal achievement for a club from Cyprus.

Just for stealing your thunder: I've watched football since 2002.^^

One of the greatest older CL matches for me was the group match between Bremen and Anderlecht 1993/94 when Bremen was down 0:3 until the 66th minute and then turned it around by scoring 5 goals within the last 25 minutes:

I am more superior than you , I have watched it since 1986 :D.. But thats beside the point.. My point is that Other "smaller" teams have done the same as what Leicester is doing and every year at least one team does it.. Lile, Apoel Nicosia, Malaga, La Corunia, Celta Vigo etc etc so its really not that much of a monunetal achievemnt anyways. Is not like they beat Valencia or Barcelona or any other high rolling team. They beat Sevilla and Sevilla is Modern day La Corunia ..!!!

First of all , you cannot compare Parma AC to Kaiserslautern or Lacorunia or Leeds.. Those are absolute crap teams that had one or two good seasons then get relegated while Parma only got forced relegation from Serie A to D and next year they are coming to B and the year after they will be able to return to A and hopefully return and grab the 6th place and Uefa SPOT that was stolen from THEM two years ago from an Undeserved Torino team!! If Parma was Kaiserslautern or Leeds they would have stayed on D or fail in Serie C.. I mean that is a joke to them because they do not deserve Serie D or C .. They were not relegated because of their merits they were relegated due to Italian and Uefa corruption.... How can a team who finished in European spot end up being relegated unless Corruption was involved in the league officials?!

Parma has won two Uefas cup winners Cup Three Italian cups. They had a Championship stolen by Juventus with a last minute penalty in a 1-1 game etc etc.. They made it in Championsleague and are the best fourth Italian team to win the most trophies in Europe after Juventus, Milan, Inter and also the only Team that Buffon has won European trophies with!!!! Parma also threatened the dominance of the league's established powers: Juventus, A.C. Milan and Inter Milan, the only Italian sides to have had more success in European competition than Parma!!!! Also they have been a very consistent team being in Europe 24/27 times. So your comparison shows me that you are not old enough to have this discussion or you would know that you are comparing a Giant with a Dwarf!!

Secondly, Monchenglabadach is a way better team than Leicester anyways.. Since their Return they have made it to Europe every year!! As for Leverkusen since you are German you would know that Borusia, Munchen and Leverkusen are the three Regulars of Germany in Europe!!! As for Valencia.. That is another Top 3 Spanish team .. And yes Valencia is just as good as Barcelona actually.. But then your comment about Leverkusen and Valencia is like saying what is United and Milan?! Soccer is known through History and what they win and consistency and not by what is good these years!!!! These years Soccer is all business anyways so ...

You are right! BUT MALAGA came as a 4th place team in La Liga, while Leicester came as Champions of England. If Pescara wins Serie A nest year and reaches only 1/4 Finals in UCL is a bigger achievement than if Inglostadt finishes 4th in Bundesliga and plays the UEFA Champions League Finals. You see? We Have Pescara champions of Italy, and we have Inglostadt UCL FInaliasts but without any trophy. Who is the bigggest surprise?

So Leicester performance is superior to Malaga's performance because the have the Premier League trophy :)

That sounds like Fiorentina - Barcelona Final. When Batistuta was palying for Fiorentina.. Fiorentina was the surprise finalist everyone was shocked though and they did not win Chanpionship
