:tr: Fenerbahçe 1 - 1 Vaslui :ro:

We didn't play very well but still we could have beaten them, but they were extremely lucky because of the mistakes of our defense and the fact that our team is not ready yet, we were playing with a cheap forward player...

And what the hell is wrong with some of Vaslui's players ? they were pretenting to be injured in order to kill time in the last minutes, how miserable they are! this is out of fair play! I'm so mad at this team already because they called us '' cheaters '' before the game T() we'll show them there for sure ;)

Go Vaslui xcheer

Happy now ? we'll watch your Galata in the groups as well. Let's see if they can go any further than being third.

:cy: AEL Limassol 1:0 :rs: Partizan

Disappointing performance in Larnaca. Even though they scored because of the terrible mistake of our right back, with this play we have nothing to look for in the Champions League nor the Europa League. I don't mind losing, but it really pisses me off when I see that players are moving on the field like ballerinas and when they simply don't seem to care about the result. They didn't make any pressing on their defenders so they could've combined as much as they wanted. AEL's players are great in defense and are really dominant in their physique. Our players couldn't win a single duel.

Even though a minimal defeat is a "good" result generally, I think we won't pass. It is a bigger chance that we will get another goal or two in Belgrade, as I expect them to play a bunker and look for their chances in counter-attacks and breaks.

:rs: Crvena Zvezda tied with Omonia :cy: (0:0). Zvezda didn't create a single chance in the whole match and Omonia obviously wanted to play "on zero" and solve the match on their field. The chances of Zvezda in Cyprus are also pretty slim.

:rs: Vojvodina surprised and defeated :at: Rapid Vienna with 2:1. Even though they got this unnececcary goal in the last seconds of the match, they have good chances to eliminate Rapid, but only if they attack in Vienna.

Btw, this second goal of Vojvodina was one of the dumbest goals I have ever seen  What was the keeper thinking.......

The keeper of Rapid had a blackout, and Rapid will pass to the Play-offs anyway.... a 1-0 is enough

^^ You are right. That will probably happen, although Vojvodina have their chances. They musn't defend that one goal in Vienna, they need to attack and try to score at least once. This way their chances are much higher. If they come out wishing to defend the goal, then they will get 3 more. They played quite well in the first match, above all my expectations........in the second match against Suduva they also played awesome.

:ro: FC Vaslui 1 - 4 Fenerbahçe SK :tr:

Ok that's good, but why did they make us distress in the beginning if it was that easy to beat Vaslui, even away ?

The draw for the play-offs will be held this friday. I hope we draw Panathinaikos, let it be a Turkish-Greek derby :D

Partizan is eliminated by :cy: AEL Limassol :( With same result as in the first match (1-0). The way we played we deserved to lose with even a bigger margin. They were much better and they outplayed us on our own field, even though they played with 9 players through the whole match (almost). It is a shame how our players were inferior on the field, but more than that - it is a shame how they didn't show any wish to fight. They showed no respect for the jersyies they were wearing, so elimination was deserved.

Crvena Zvezda eliminated :cy: Omonia on penalties (6:5 for Zvezda in the penalty kick-out, and no goals during regular time, just like in the first match), and Rapid Vienna eliminated Vojvodina with 2:0 in the second match.

So, there will be two Serbian teams in the Europa League play-offs, and these are their rivals:

 Tromsø IL - :rs: Partizan

:rs: Crvena Zvezda - :fr: Girondins De Bordeaux

As for our rival, I heard of Tromsø only once, and I know that they are one of the best teams in Norway. I know that they also play tough and that they rarely lose on home field. They managed to eliminate Olimpija and Metalurg which probes that they are a great team. Since the first match is played in Norway, we musn't lose, and we need to look for at 1 goal, as a goal on away field doubles our chances of passing. As we are in a crisis currently, I think Tromsø has higher chances to pass, but based on the general streingh of the two teams, I think the chances are 50:50.

I will watch some of their matches in the Norwegian championship to see how they play and to get a closer look on their qualities.

Oh yes, and Crvena Zvezda has no chances to eliminate Bordeaux. I think that a petard is certain on away field, but they should at least play for honor.....

^^ Dudelange? Their elimination of Salzburg was the biggest shock for me. But such things happen in soccer....ball is round, as people say. I think that Hapoel is a clean favorite though :D It is definetly much better rival than our Tromsø where chances are equal.

Here's an overview of the danish teams still being alive in the European competitions which means at minimum we'll have two danish teams in European competitions:

:dk: FC Nordsjælland (directly qualified to the CL-group stage)

:dk: FC København - :fr: Lille (Champions League 3rd round)

:dk: AC Horsens - :pt: Sporting Lissabon (Europe League qualification)

:dk: FC Midtjylland - :ch: Young Boys (Europe League qualification)

Yep, we will face Lille in the play-off round for Champions League.
FC Nordsjælland was directly qualified to the CL due to them winning our domestic league last season, so we have to fight our way through the play-offs first although we've been the biggest contributors to the danish coeffient. The chances of us beating Lille over two legs may be small, but I believe in it. We've eliminated Ajax and Rosenborg before at the same playoff-stage, so I believe we can do it.

After all we beat Brügge over two legs so the chance of having two danish teams in the Champions League is there, and it would be a milestone in danish club-football ever to accomplish that.

So only 2 Scottish teams left in Europe now.

Celtic will play Helsingborgs in the play-off round. This is their best chance of making the group stages since Scotland lost It's automatic place. It won't be easy though, as Celtic have looked shaky so far at the start of the season. As long as they score in the first leg, then It should be gravy in the home leg.

Hearts will play Liverpool in the Europa League play-off round. I've been a Hearts supporter my whole life, but we have no luck. Last year we faced Tottenham at the same stage, now Liverpool. We'll get humped, but as long as we don't lose by 7 or 8, we can be fairly satisfied with that.

You are lucky, you are even allowed to have your own Scottish federation.... there are 20 British clubs every year in the UEFA competitions....

Every other country just has 4-7......

Either declare independence or join a British football association!

In footballing terms Britain doesn't exist. Don't think of them as British clubs. They are separate countries. Bear in mind also that the SFA was founded in 1873, and is the second oldest in footballing history. Scotland as It's own nation has a huge history in the creation of modern football.

And anyway, a British FA will NEVER happen. I'm sorry you're unhappy with the situation, but it isn't going to change.

Great you support Scottish independence! Then they finally have a justification for their SFA :) We all would appreciate that, don't we?

No I dont, I want them to be part of the United Kingdom. But I dont appreciate picking and choosing which parts of the Union they like, they're either in or out, that's the way it should be imo.
