Shamrock Rovers is a good team, I watched some of their matches last season, I wouldn't have been shocked if they eliminated us (Fenerbahce) as well, because English/UK teams are always way-out, you know.

^^ They definetly are. However, judging at the club's reputation, we were never knocked out by someone who had a worse reputation than them, and that is why I do consider that as our biggest embarrassment, but they have quality and they deserved to eliminate us.

I think we were mainly eliminated because we were previously knocked out in quite a painful way by :be: KRC Genk in the Champions League qualifications and most players' thoughts were still in that match. We missed like 20 100% chances in two matches against Shamrock, and like it always happens when you don't use your chances, a punishment has to come.

Also, our players (media too) looked at Shamrock like they were amateurs, bartenders and plumbers who are training once per week, and they thought that they will beat themselves. They haven't......

That is why not a small number of Partizan's supporters are scared of :mt: FC Valletta now, even though we are clean favorites in this duel  And we really are, but we need to take everyone seriously, as in modern soccer nobody is a 100% favorite.

In the first leg,

:by: BATE Borisov - :mk: Vardar 3:2 (1:0).
Vardar played a great game and had a lead until the 90th minute with 1:2. In the last 3 minutes they conceded 2 goals and lost. :? Anyway, I think Vardar can win on the next game and go through. Vardar broke the 6 game post of non-scoring goals that the Macedonian teams made in the CL in the past 3 seasons.

Meanwhile, Renova is playing Gomel tomorrow, after they won 4:0 and 4:0 against a team from San Marino. Metalurg will play Ruch Chorzow from Poland, after they passed Birkirkara from Malta, playing 2:2 away and a shameful 0:0 at home.

Skendija is accused of setting games, as they lost from Portadown away 2:1 and conceding 2 goals in the second half, including one from half the field. We'll see if UEFA takes any actions about that game.

So ironi Qiryat Shmona (the most unexpected Israeli champion in the past 3 decades) lost to that Slovak champion 1:0 on their turf.
hopefully we'll be able to beat that on home turf :)

As my friend likes to say "(insert the rival's name here: Valletta) was just an easy training for the Belgrade's giant"

Partizan defeated Valletta with 4:1 in :mt: and we basically secured the next round. A rematch in Belgrade will only be formal.

I am quite satisfied with the first match, even though I think our defense isn't too great. But I hope that will improve, and also that one more experienced defensive player will be brought :D

I watched several matches yesterday, and one of them was BATE - Vardar. It is just......too bad how you lost :( If they kept the possession of the ball instead of shooting it away, I think you would've won. This reminds me of our failures too. It is a typical "Balkan syndrome" - we retreat as soon as we score and try to keep that result by defending, and, as a consequence, we get goals in last minutes and seconds of the match  Other than that, Vardar played really well, and you definetly have chances in the second match. I expected much more from BATE, because I think they are one of the best teams from Eastern Europe. But, ball is round and everything is possible.

I "scanned" some of our potential rivals in the next round last night, and I am definetly hoping that we'll avoid :pl: Slask (they played really well in Podgorica last night, and I think that such tough teams with great technicians can cause many problems), :sl: Maribor (they thrashed
Bosnia%20&%20Herzegovina.png
Zeljeznicar........even though it was more because of Zeljo's "great" defense () that collapssed in the second half, made a penalty and gave them two goals as gifts, I think that they have a very good and quick transition from the phase of defense to the phase of attack, and their attack can create problems for our "great" defense as well) and :cz: Slovan Liberec (Czech teams are always tricky).

It would be a bingo if we drew a winner from :lt: Ekranas - :ie: Shamrock Rovers :D If Shamrock gets through, we would even have a chance to have revenge on them :p :D

Btw - today :rs: Crvena Zvezda plays against :by: Naftan Novopolotsk, and :rs: Vojvodina against :lt: Suduva in the qualifications for Europa League.

I've known the results :D congratulations Partizan, they've ensured that they would go to the next round. There was not any surprising result at all.

The draw for the third qualifying round will be held tomorrow. Thank God, UEFA expressed that they are allowing Fenerbahce to participate (there was a controversy before). Our possible opponents;

Feyenoord, Club Brugge, Motherwell, Vaslui.

My wish is Vaslui, of course.

^^ Thanks :D

I also hope for the best possible outcome on the draw tomorrow. From these potential rivals, Feyenoord and Brugge are definetly those that you should avoid, and you can play with Motherwell.

The potential rivals of Partizan tomorrow are: Molde, Helsinki, Neftchi Baku, AEL and Sheriff. I would like to avoid AEL and Molde if possible, and Sheriff would be the best option.

Today, :rs: Crvena Zvezda won against :by: Naftan with 4:3 in a very strange and dramatic match (they were leading with 3:0 in the first half and then almost totally lost the advantage) and :rs: Vojvodina barely managed to tie against :lt: Suduva (1:1).

UEFA Europa League 3rd round:
:sk: Spartak Trnava/:ie: Sligo Rovers - Steaua Bucharest :ro:
This is easy! No emotions here! Whoever we play we will pass! :D

As for the others:

UEFA Champions League 3rd round:
:ro: CFR Cluj - Slovan Liberec :cz: /Shaktar Karagandy :kz:
Slovan is a tough team but CFR should qualify!

:tr: Fenerbahce - SC Vaslui :ro:
Ouch! It is bad! I guess we will move to UEFA Europa League play-off :((

UEFA Europa League 3rd round:
:ro: Rapid Bucharest/:fi: MyPa - SC Herenven :nl:
It will be a very hard game but I think Rapid has like 60 % chances to pass!

The Macedonian teams continue to sh!t themselves..

:pl: Ruch Chorzow - :mk: Metalurg Skopje 3:1.. the sad thing is that Metalurg had the lead and in the last 15 minutes of the game, they conceded 3 goals. I don't know what to say. :?
:mk: Renova Dzepciste - Gomel :by: 0:2 I didn't expect this to happen. And I am even more disappointed, because in the next round the winner of this battle will face Liverpool!

If Vardar wins next week, they will have the better team of Skenderbeu and Debrecin.. a great draw!! :)

Should be fun for the Motherwell players, facing Panathinaikos. As for Celtic, Helsinki is a good draw. They should make the next stage.

What happent to Rangers ?

They were liquidated and stripped of their placing and the new Rangers company relegated to Scottish Division Three. Motherwell finished 3rd last year and were given their place in the Champion's League. Rangers deserved everything they got (and will still get), but It will negatively affect our hopes in Europe.

I'm so sorry for such a great club. So, Celtic is now rivalless.

We drew :cy: AEL Limassol and Crvena Zvezda drew :cy: Omonia. Vojvodina will play against :at: Rapid Vienna if they eliminate :lt: Suduva.

These two duels will show how far (or close) we are from the Cypriot soccer. They are higher in UEFA's rankings, and their soccer is in great transition.

AEL is a rival that I wanted to avoid as I think they are a great team, and it won't be easy to eliminate them. I think Crvena Zvezda will have even a harder task against Omonia (that is, if they eliminate :by: Naftan). A fact that they finished ahead of APOEL (we knew what results they achieved last year) and Omonia speaks for itself. As well as the fact that they got only 10 goals in the whole season.

We have our own chances too of course, and from what I saw while watching some of their matches, we can definetly use their weaknesses to our advantage. Every team has weak spots, and so does AEL. I think the chances are 50-50 though.

:mk: Vardar - :by: BATE Borisov 0:0  :| Vardar pretty much screwed themselves in Borisov. If it only ended 2:2 there, they would have gone throw. What's done it's done. In this game BATE was better, as they had 2 very good chances, vs 1 that Vardar had. Vardar at least showed themselves in a good light in these 2 games. There was a record of >30,000 spectators on the arena, which is the highest number EVER on a sports event in Macedonia.

Tomorrow Metalurg is playing Ruch Chorzow home and Renova is playing Gomel away. I don't think anything good will come from these games.

:rs: Vojvodina defeated :lt: Suduva easily with 4:0 and now they are going to play against :at: Rapid Vienna in the next round. The chances are not too big, but they should just relax and play their game. Ball is round and anything can happen.

:rs: Crvena Zvezda barely managed to pass :by: Naftan with 3:3 (4:3 in the first match). This was an embarrasing way of passing into the next round and it is really shameful that they got 6 goals in their net, and in the end, it appears that the non-recognition of a regular goal in Belarus decided the winner in these two matches. If that goal was counted, Zvezda would've been eliminated.

If they play like this in the next round, without the middle of the terrain and without defense, :cy: Omonia will massacre them.
