Congrats to Celtic on beating Helsingborgs 2-0 in the first leg of the Champion's League play-off round. Just finish the job at Celtic Park and we have the first Scottish team in the group stages for 4 years.

^^ Congratulations :D FC Copenhagen is definetly one of those teams that are developing each and every year. I believe that, if you continue like this, in the near future you will never the elite championship (CL). You had to play there last season as well, but that is soccer.....in case you eliminate Lille, Copenhagen will be one of my favorites in the Champions League :D I think that your previous coach (Solbaken) was doing an awesome job, but the new one (Ariel Jacobs) should continue where Solbaken stopped.

Tomorrow is the day for my Partizan :D

I don't have much hopes, we are in a huge crisis lately, but the elimination of Tromso could be a new begining. It definetly won't be easy, as the Norwegian team rarely fails on home ground, but I would personally be happy with a tie as well. I heard that people in Tromso underestimated Partizan, and they do have the right to do so, as we are in a crisis, but I hope that will motivate our players for the tomorrow's match. I would be really happy if we manage to enter Europa League.

Thanks ^^ Well, we had an awful last season with Roland Nilsson as coach when we came only 2nd after losing the title in the last round to FC Nordsjælland (our directly qualified team in Champions League), so it's not that we haven't met several bumps on the road. We didn't do remarkably well in Europe last season either. Now we have a new generation of players ready since our last adventure in Champions League though, and a new coach in Ariel Jacobs who looks very promising and quite possibly the right replacement for Ståle Solbakken, so everything is set for a good season for us again.

Whether we'll be able to become an established part and elite of Champions League...nah, I doubt it. The main target for us must be to qualify into the group-stage when we can, and that can only be done by winning ending in top-2 in Superligaen (our domestic league) again, so that's where our main focus should be imo.
For danish football in general it'd be an utter milestone if we could have two teams in Champions League, but let's see...2nd leg against Lille won't be easy, so I shouldn't be too excited just yet.

Our most valuable player I dare say has never been N'Doye, Bolanos, Cesar Santin or anyone else. It's our goalkeeper, reserve keeper on the Swedish national team, Johan Wiland! An absolute legend, and it'll only be a matter of time before he'll become 1st choice on the swedish national team if he continues like this. If it wasn't for him saving a penalty against Lille we never would've won that match. I stood behind the goal and the penalty-safe was celebrated almost as if we had scored

Meh, since Rosenborg's decline from European football I haven't been that impressed by norwegian teams in Europe. I remember we played them years ago in Royal League (a failed attempt at making a Champions League-like tournament specifically for Nordic teams only ), and while they might have a home advantage due to the almost antarctic climate up there, I don't think neither their fans nor team are something to be afraid of. Unlike Partizan they don't have the set-up of a big club, nor do they have as much european football experience. And as of now, looking at the current table of Tippeligaen they're only 9th so it's just a matter of how badly Partizan wants to be in Europe League. If they're motivated enough I'm sure they'll escort Tromsø out of European football where they belong. :p

As the match doesn't seem to interfere with FC Midtjylland's crucial Europe League-game against Young Boys I will most likely try to follow Tromsø - Partizan through streaming. ^^

:ru: Spartak Moscow 2 -1 Fenerbahçe SK :tr:

We were even lucky with a man who have no knowledge about coaching. I'd not really be sad if there was nothing to do against Spartak, but our squad is pretty strong and sufficient, but the problem is we have a horrible coach... Had even my grandpa led the team this match, I'm sure we would have played much better.

hm....ok, that stupid auto-goal of Badelj REALLY wasn't necessary but.....I hope such situations will NOT happen in Championships if we pass....it is still early to talk about it and already "ring the bell" lol ... there are hard 90 minutes following in Maribor (last round):)

:be: Anderlecht - :cy: Limassol 2-0 (3-2)

Yeaaaaaaaaah:D

Congratulations :D I was rooting for Anderlecht in this round and I am glad you are in the Champions League finally (oh, and thanks for "avenging" us by eliminating AEL ). I think Anderlecht has a great team this season. Much better than the one from 2 years ago when you played against us (although that team with Lukaku was also powerful). I see that Milan Jovanovic adapted himself very nicely in your team :D Although that mistake wasn't needed in the first match on Cyprus.....but doesn't matter now - you're through.

And congratulations to Dinamo as well! :) Even though the matches with Ludogorets and Sheriff weren't easy, Dinamo showed their class. I think Dinamo is currently the strongest team in the ex-yu. Beating Maribor which is anything but easy proves that. Hopefully you will get some points this season. Playing in the CL for 2 times in a row means a lot for the expansion of soccer in Croatia as well as for Dinamo themselves. I also must add that Mamic definetly knows his business. He is the best president of Dinamo in history.

I am a bit late with the reply, but in the time I am writing this, I see that Lille is leading with 1:0 :( Too bad.....but hopefully you will manage to knock them out in additional time or ....if it comes to it - the penalties.

Since I am a soccer fan I watch and follow many teams from other leagues, and I was watching several matches from the Danish league last season as well as Copenhagen's matches in Europe. I was watching some of your matches from before as well. My favorite player is N'Doye :D I would also love to see such player in Partizan one day.

I think that your team is definetly the best team in Denmark, and a team with great capacity for further improvements. I also think that Odense is quite a good team as well. But, when we speak of Copenhagen and the last season I think that you deserved the CL last season too. Sadly, in soccer not always the better teams get what they want and deserve. Partizan also could've played in the Europa League last season, but since our elimination from :be: KRC Genk came as a mix of stupidity (to say) and unluckiness in some key points, we suffered a fiasco and then got eliminated from :ie: Shamrock Rovers as well, even though we outplayed them in both matches (and this elimination is considered as the biggest debacle in our club's history). I know that you also had problems with them, as from what I remember those were quite equal matches even though you were clean favorites. Even though many considered them as "amateurs" they definetly know how to play soccer, and their style of soccer is something with which the Serbian teams barely cope with. We outplayed them and we got eliminated..............but that's just shows that soccer is always unpredictable. And the Rovers deserved to pass in that duel as they were fighting till the end and they believed they could eliminate someone who is stronger than them.

Did you watch the match of Tromso and Partizan? I personally think we played quite badly, but it is not a surprise, as we are in a huge crisis, and we also have financial problems - that is why most of our players come from our own school. However, losing with 3:2 is not a bad result, and we have good chances to knock them out tomorrow. To be honest, I expected more from them too. Their defense is quite weak, and if we had the attacker to solve those 2 one-on-one situations, everything could've been different. I think the key point in the second match tomorrow is to defend the breaks better as those were the only occassions when they were getting into serious scoring chances.

Also, I hope that the weather will work in our favor as well  I guess it won't be easy for them when they come from +7 in Tromso to +32 (or more) in Belgrade

Congrats to the qualified teams. And wow, now I can see how lucky BATE Borisov was on the first match against Vardar. Vardar could have passed both Debrecen and Irony Kiryat Shmona. :( BATE is a specialist for late goals.

And Milos, Partizan will easily win over Tromso. Nordic and British teams don't play well on hot weather. I think Serbia should play their upcoming game against Wales at 15:00, so that will ensure easy 3 points. :)

Bate had difficulties at first because a lot of their players were busy in olympic games. Anyway bate is a team that I like.
I'm curious of following this CL, but this year I'll pay more attention to europa league, because it's there that my favourite team (inter) is playing. Next match against vaslui, let's hope we don't make errors, like against hajduck.

I'm glad Dinamo has the chance to play 2nd time in a row in Champions League. Even though I strongly dislike croatian league, still this is a great result and hoping that Croatian coefficient will raise a bit. We made 6,00 growth since 2008, we can improve even more, and hopefully get to golden era of Croatian football clubs. xcheer

A group like this would be awesome:

:es: Real Madrid
:en: Machester City
:it: Juventus
:ro: CFR Cluj

And about UEFA Europa League! If Steaua qualifies against Ekranas this evening (we won 2 - 0 in :lt:), it will become the first European team to qualify for an European group stage for 9 years in a row :D

UEFA Europa League:

Group E:

:de: Vfb Stuttgart
:dk: FC Kobenhavn
:ro: Steaua Bucharest
 Molde

It is a good draw! Not excellent but good! I think we should fight with Kobenhavn for the 2nd place and the chances are like 51 % - 49 % for the Danish team! The perfect schedule would be if in the last round we play against Molde at home and Kobenhavn plays in Stuttgart, that way we will have big chances :)
