,,Dark Thursday" for Romanian teams:

:il: Maccabi Haifa - Steaua Bucharest :ro: 5 - 0
Pure shame! :(( We had 2 red cards and Maccabi had 2 penalty-es but stil....

:ro: Rapid Bucharest - Legia Varsovia :pl: 0 - 1
Horrible in the first half, Rapid where better in the 2nd half! I would say a draw would've been a more realistic reflection of the game!

:pt: Sporting - SC Vaslui :ro: 2 - 0
Only stupidity here! SC Vaslui had 2 ungiven penalty-es, so Wesley got mad and kicked a headin the face of a player from Sporting and he got a red card. From there Sporting got wings and won! :((

The little Irish team played well :D

and my local team (even though I dont support them)
:fr: Rennes 1-1 :sc: Celtic

(I watched this in a bar and when Celtic scored that hilarious own goal the place went dead :D)

UEFA Champions League:

:en: Manchester United - Otelul Galati :ro: 2 - 0
It was more than I expected! I was expecting a 8 - 0 or something

UEFA Europa League:

:pl: Legia Varsovia - Rapid Bucharest :ro: 3 - 1
And it's all over for Rapid! They have no chance to qualify now!

:ro: SC Vaslui - Sporting :pt: 1 - 0 xfruits:
This was the biggest surprise! Now if Lazio Roma doesen't win against Sporting, SC Vaslui can qualify with 2 draws! :D

:ro: Steaua Bucharest - Maccabi Haifa :il: 4 - 2 xfruits:
Finally we won! We can qualify in many ways but the main thing I hope is that Maccabi haifa won't win at AEK Larnaca!

Hehehe! You were not able to defeat little AEK Larnaca!

+ :cy: APOEL Nicosia - :pt: FC Porto 2-1

None of them are my team, but I support them of course in Europe! No matter how much I dislike the anti-Cypriot nationalists of APOEL!

xjumpxwave1
It is great then! Here the situation is totally different! When DINAMO ZAGREB lost their matches in CL, the people from Dalmatia (HAJDUK SPLIT fans mostly) were so happy every time! Sad but true...

:de: Schalke 04 - Steaua Bucharest :ro: 2 - 1
Now, we have to win agains AEK Larnaca in Bucharest and hope that Schalke 04 won't lose in Haifa against Maccabi!

As for the others:

:ro: Rapid Bucharest - Hapoel Tel Aviv :il: 1 - 3
They where already out, but I think Rapid should've given more in this match!

:ro: SC Vaslui - Lazio Roma :it: 0 - 0
Now, all that SC Vaslui needs is to wwin in Zurich and they are qualified! Also they can qualify with a draw if Lazio Roma doesen't win against Sporting, or they can lose in Zurich and hope that Sporting win in Roma.

APOEL is still first and officially in the next round of Champions League! That's epic for tiny Cyprus! :)

vatroslav_cro, that's the situation in all the world. This is how it is in Cyprus too. Just now, almost everybody is excited with APOEL's achievement, but even now there are some fanatic fans of Omonia and Anorthosis that don't like it!
After all, even if I didn't like it, I would still want APOEL to do the best it could, because next year my team Omonia has many potential to be the champion and play in Champions League, so the more points APOEL gets, the best position will be!

Again all three Belgian teams in the Europa League won:D

:sl: Maribor - :be: Club Brugge: 3-4 (until 70th minute it was 3-0)
:gr: AEK Athens - :be: Anderlecht: 1-2
:be: Standard - :de: Hannover: 2-0

But we will not talk about Racing Genk in Champions League.
That's really a shame:(
:es: Valencia - :be: Genk: 7-0

But still we are the 4th best country in Europe:mrgreen:

OK, let's see how this saga with Dinamo's playing in LC will finish......thank God it will end ... yes I know, this was the first season for GNK Dinamo in Champions league after 2002 blah blah blah, but wait a moment! The defeat of 6-2 etc.? (and NO MATTER it was against Real). Give me a break!xrofl3

Did Zagreb won a lottery? 1-7 against Lyon!! Well Lyon is very tough, the best French team (I like how they play). Pity for Zagreb that they didn't earn a point, but don't worry neither did Villareal. ;)

The most important thing is bye-bye Man U. xwave  I hate Basel, I wish Otelul was second instead.

The conclusion is following: APOEL is better than both Man U and Man City.

We qualifieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed! Respect to Schalke 04 for your help, I was really scared that Schalke 04 won't help us qualify but they did it!

Group J:
1. :de: Schalke 04 14
2. :ro: Steaua Bucharest 8
......................................
3. :il: Maccabi Haifa 6
4. :cy: AEK Larnaca 5

As for the others:

:ch: FC Zurich - SC Vaslui :ro: 2 - 0
To bad! I think SC Vaslui would've deserved to qualify over Lazio Roma.

:nl: PSV Eindhoven - Rapid Bucharest :ro: 2 - 1
And Rapid finishes last in the group with only 3 points....

UEFA Europa League, Last 32:

:ro: Steaua Bucharest - Twente :nl:
I think it's a good draw! Twente is a tough team but I think it's easier to pass, rather then Manchester City or Manchester United

UEFA Europa League, Last 16:

:ro: Steaua Bucharest/ :nl: Twente - :cz: Viktoria Plzen / :de: Schalke 04
It would be funny to eliminate Schalke 04 after we got here with their unexpected help!

My favourite Italian team, Udinese, has a rather easy draw. I mean they could have gotten Manchester Utd or Manchester City.

In the next stages of Europa League and Champions League I am going to support Steaua Bucharest and APOEL :D

APOEL is the biggest surprise for everyone. And they are a proof that even with relatively tiny budget you can achieve a great result if the system is good. In :rs: everyone is like "We have no money, the budgets are below the European standards, so it is ok not to have a huge rule in European championships" etc.......and APOEL has a lower budget than the two big clubs in Serbia - Partizan and Crvena Zvezda, and they have better results. Also, another reason of my sympathy for APOEL is the coach of Serbian origin - Ivan Jovanovic :D He is currently the best Serbian coach imo.....

Steaua on the other hand is my favorite in the EL championship, and I believe they have enough quality to go far :D !

I agree about APOEL. Even though Lyon is my favourite French team, I want APOEL to advance through!!! :D
