Re: TURKEY 2016

I don't think it was ever truly confirmed for sure that they were coming back. There were early rumors about it being possible before ESC 2015 even ended, that they were hoping or looking into a possibility but that was it. I think fans simply took it as fact and ran with it.

Here is their "source": http://eurovisiondream.com/index.ph...me-konutu&catid=118:eurovision-2016-stockholm
It basically says "An anonymous competent from TRT claimed that the decision about Turkey's coming back to the contest seems unfavorable". I don't like the admin of that page but he is a powerful person in Turkish fan community so it may be right. I don't give two s*its about Turkey in 2016 but it would be good to watch the contest without Georgian commentary.

Imo not in 2016. But life changes a lot and something tells me that Turkey will come back next year :) Though it depends of political situation and how much money will be spent on war etc.
I wish TRT could give more freedom to performers in terms of funding.

I highly doubt that TRT will have any money related problems soon. They keep launching new channels and hiring people. They're also spending a lot of money for TV shows like they never did before. We hosted the show right after 2001 economic crisis so I don't think that participating spendings will be a problem. + which war are you talking about?

Duh! Even Ukraine is going to participate so it's definitely not a problem for Turkey  But your bosses can use any expenses as a "valid" excuse & make people think that withdrawal is the right thing.
I'm not going to talk about politics but I wish Turkey all the best.

Aleks was probably talking about that Syria-Turkey-Russia friendship triangle whose height is ISIS.

How do you know Aysun Gültekin? She's one of my mother's favorite folk music singers.

I don't associate Turkey with those 3 mentioned above (only some people who don't represent the whole country). Imho TRT will keep searching for excuses every year and I still can't decipher real reasons why they don't want to come back.

We were always drowning in chaos, so if they say "we will not be in Eurovision because of political situation" it would be an excuse. Also I wish the same, specially after Hadise. The failure kind of her fault too, but it seemed like TRT pushed her so much.

Failure? What failure? She ended 4th! Despite of a clearly audible weak performance due to her cold.
