Well our :fi: sailers are in good positions after first day: Kaarle Tapper in second place and Tuula Tenkanen in fourth place. Also Tuuli Petäjä-Siren is in fourteenth place.

Also Eetu Kallioinen is very good position in skeet shooting. And Ida Hulkko got to semi-finals on 100m breastroke.

We have 2 medals already. A great start for the :rs: team. I'm optimistic we will see more.

Tennis (Novak Djokovic), female basketball, and female voleyball are disciplines where I believe we will be contenders for a great result. Hopefully water polo as well.

The inclusion of skateboarding for me I think was one of the best decisions the IOC/Organisers has made. It is shown the full progressiveness and ability of athletes young and old.

The shocking thing was watching the Women's street final which was filled by young athletes, Rayssa Leal who was picked up by Tony Hawkes is like a demon child alongside Roos! The best thing is that the top 3 was all 13 year olds!

I am watching men's skeet final: Eetu Kallioinen has shot all disks. Surprise medal possible coming for Finland.

Edit. 2x double-miss, so fourth place for Kallioinen.

We won our third medal today. Again a bronze medal in Canoe slalom. Yay!

now as the Canoe, Rowing and Equestrian events are going to start we shall slowly catch up in the medal table and win some golden medals, too. But nevertheless I think the total result in the end will be frustrating for Germany and it will once again lead to debates of how bad the sports promotion in Germany is but eventually nothing will change.

Looking at the disciplines that are taking place in these days, I hope we will still win something in Shooting and Judo. There are a few chances. I gave up my hope for fencing. There are only team events left and we are taking part in only one of them. In track swimming we have only one realistic medal contender (Florian Wellbrock in 1500m freestyle) but he should definitely strive for gold.

Cheung tells reporters after his victory xmetal

Germany won their first gold medal today in Female canoe slalom :)

The next will hopefully follow this afternoon in Equestrian team dressage, where we are usually head and shoulders above other nations... hopefully dont jinx it now

and we stand a chance to win our first medal in Judo. Dominic Ressel will fight for bronze against an Austrian guy in an hour

xyes easy win for :it: against :tr: in Volleyball xcheer they could hopefully save their strengths for the matches against worthy opponents (especially the US)

Since the German ladies did not qualifiy, I cheer for the Italien girls. They really stand a chance for winning the tournament. Andiamo!

Italy's minority players were so good. They are so international. Paola Egonu, Myriam Sylla, Sara Fahr, Sorokaite. That's 4/5 of the starters minus the libero :O They really are the pride of minority groups all around the world ♥️♥️

Maybe Germany should try the same with Turkish players so they stop losing 3-0 against Turkey every match 🤣

Turkey didn't let their best player play too much, let's wait for the rest of the matches ;) definitely an exciting tournament!
