Finally the first medal for Germany in Biathlon! xheya

Erik Lesser wins silver... he was even 1st rank after last shooting, but Fourcade ran fast like he is from another planet and overtook him on the last round! But big success for Erik

In total our biathlon results in Sotchi are not satisfying yet, but at least it isn't a disaster anymore :D

At least we still have biathlon, as we don't practice half of the proposed sports (for instance we don't have speed skating or luge equipment ! ) and the team has the lowest budget of the big teams...

But the games are great and great to see big athletes winning, like aria Riesch, Tina Maze or Dario Cologna ! :)

Jorik Hendrickx (BEL) totally SLAYED on the ice atm (Male short program). Ranked first with 72.52 points.

Plushenko is next, though... so bye bye first place. It was fun while it lasted xrofl

And the team competitions will still come. Today was a very good team result, with good shooting results and Andreas Birnbacher as last german finished 22nd. I think Arnd Peiffer will come back for the team competition, and replace Daniel Böhm, who's already qualified for the Mass Start xshock.

Anyway, congrats to Martin for winnig second gold medal, I remember when I was watching Mass Start in Vancouver 4 years ago and wanted him to overtake Ustyugov.

Watching luge's team race now, with four olympic champions Germany's supposed to win, we will see.

As expected we won the luge team race... more than one second ahead of the second rank, which is massive in luge sports :)

we made the quadruplet in luge: 4 competitions, 4 golden medals. :)

now the luge competitions are over, and maybe the golden shower as well. But up to now, the Olympics are very entertaining.. what a pity that it only takes place every four years

I don't think or gold rush will stop immediately. There are enough of athletes who could win this, like Severin Freund and Andreas Wellinger ( I know, they need some luck) and the whole ski jumping team. The Biathlon teams, especially the women, Felix Neureuther, Viktoria Rebensburg, maybe one of the Snowboard ladies in parallel competitions. I know, in some competitions there have to be a plenty of luck for german athletes, but the olympics aren't over yet.

Just watched Patrick Chan's performance in the men's short program, despite a small blip on his triple Axel he was incredible. Sits second right now about 4 points behind Yuzuru Hanyu

Patrick Liebers is 5th now after men's short program, not far behind the 3rd place. Very surprisingly to me, because the german media is hopeful in every competition and lays the focus about a potential medallist, but nobody was talking about him :D

Actually I'm not really interested in figure skating, but the past days everybody in german media is talking about Savchenko/Szolkowy and today I heard about the result from men's short program and was a bit surprised, because nobody in Germany made this prediction.

My favourite sports, and those I'm interested in are:
Biathlon(one of my favourite sports, surely a consequence of our golden era the past years), Ski Jumping, Alpine Ski, Nordic Combined, Cross Country(but not every competition, the individual start races are quite boring), Snowboard, Freestyle-Skiing and Ice Hockey, when the final rounds starting.
