Germany is on top of the medal count xshock

And just with the half of medals the norwegian team have

Seems like Wendl/Arlt will win another gold medal.

Jennifer Jones is still kicking butt and taking names in women's curling, she beat Great Britain. And Canada also beat the US 3-2 to finish undefeated in their group in women's hockey

I'm very proud of our girls: Vesna Fabjan, Teja Gregorin and Tina Maze! I must also mention Peter Prevc here (hope to soon meet him again :) ). Today it's the fifth day of Winter Olympics and Slovenia got 4 medals already. We still have hopes for a few more and they can get them with a little luck :) Boy, I can already see, how many people will be on the reception, when they return :D

PS: why can't they decide, which version of our national anthem will they play? There is only ONE chours in it and not two of them.

Congrats Tina Maze, I can't believe this is the first gold for Slovenia in Winter Olympics. But that makes this day even better. :D

Another silver medal for Canada thanks to Denny Morrison in the men's long track 1000m. This is a nice story because Gilmore Junio, who was supposed to skate in this race, stepped aside for Denny in order to give Canada a better shot at a medal

What a pity that the luge competitions are over soon :D

Don't forget the team race. What could we expect if 3 current olympic champions compete together in one race? :D

And for Slovenia: I hope our team could beat you, and we shouldn't forget Austria, but the ski jumpers team is also very strong.

I think she can thank (beside her trainers and her team) Ivica Kostelić for winning this race today. He gave her that great advice! :D I really hope Ivica will at least get a medal at men's combined. He's the only reason I watch men's skiing, since our skiers became so bad :(

We'll see about that! :)

But to be honest, as much as I wish our ski jumpers would become Olympic champions, I believe they will hardly get into the final round on team's event. Robert Kranjec hurt himself on Saturday :( Sure, Prevc and Damjan are good right now, Tepeš is so-so, but if Kranjec won't be able to compete, then we have Hvala, who is a complete disaster this season!

I think Austria has a chance, but it will be very hard. We can be very glad that Morgenstern is even competing in Sochi after that horrible fall in January. Sure Diethart won the Four hills tournament, but his jumping wasn't good until his fourth place a few days ago. Schlierenzauer is really a wonder boy, enough said. I don't know who will be the fourth member.

I think that Poland and Japan also have a chance. We'll see :)

I hope so too, but he had some health problems few days before the Olympics, Natko Zrnčić-Dim could be in the race for the medal as well. I just hope they all do great. xpray But there is a sign of hope: last three Olympics we won medals on Valentine's day, and combined race is on that exact day. xpray

I'm actually really happy for Tina Maze. She was incredible last season, and I've felt a bit sorry for her this season, as she's been far from the same level. Hopefully the Olympic gold will give her the old confidence again. :)

Norway got a bronze in Nordic combined today, when Magnus Krog finished 3rd, after being 20th after the ski jumping. Magnus also has the most Norwegian haircut in history.

Updated (3rd in the table now):
4 Gold (Maiken Caspersen Falla, Marit Bjørgen, Ola Vigen Hattestad, Ole Einar Bjørndalen)
3 Silver (Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, Ståle Sandbech, Tora Berger)
5 Bronze (Anders Bardal, Heidi Weng, Kjetil Jansrud, Magnus Krog, Martin Johnsrud Sundby)

My birthday tomorrow, I'm hoping for some good results for us in cross-country and biathlon, and maybe even in freestyle slopestyle, but I don't really know how good the 4 Norwegians are...

I've heard that, it was on the news here. And if I remember correctly, Janica had the same problems a few years ago. Such a shame she retired so soon :( Don't know about Natko, though. He isn't such a celebrity here, like Ivo is :D Really? I didn'd knew that! :D I'll definitely watch that race and let's hope for the best :)

I'd say if all goes well, it could be a horse race between Plushenko, Patrick Chan and Yuzuru Hanyu for gold
