I heard someone at eurovision.tv say that the stage will be bigger than the one from 2011

Now, I don't think it's true and that does not make it a better stage, but still interesting.

The stage of 2011 was actually pretty small......

2015 already looks like the best stage ever to me

2011 diameter: 13m
2015 diameter: 11m

Although you could argue that the Vienna stage is bigger than the Düsseldorf one in relation to the hall size

the led surface only is 11 diameters, the amplitude of the stage is more than 14 meters and of the whole stage including led pillars 44 meters.
i think the size of the stage does not really matter. the whole setting looks spectacular to me.

As I have a category B seated ticket, I'm worried I might not be able to see the stage with all those pillars in the way.
Maybe it is safest option to sell my ticket rather than have no view:?

Well, there's probably a reason why Cat. D tickets say "impaired view" whereas the others don't.

I said bad things about last year's stage design too until the rehearsals came out, i hope it'll be the same with this one too :)

Yeah - recent Eurovision stages have tended to look better in action than in photos. At first I thought last year's blocky, scaffolding-style stage looked ridiculous (though I did like the floor screen), but I was blown away by how Armenia managed to utilise the stage as soon as SF1 started and many more impressively-staged acts followed. It's now probably my equal favourite Eurovision stage.

Does the graphic concept of the national final look like something that can be used for Eurovision itself as well?

Yeah, it looks like they're planning to use it for Eurovision. I can easily imagine them zooming in on a different country and using the same animation process to bring it up into the logo - it's a good design! If they do use it, though, I'll be amused to see the zoom to Australia

I don't think there is a zooming in on Australia intended, because it's already too big.... *g*

in the final the artists will enter the arena through a simulated bridge of magic light

The arena isn't actually that big - they are going to block a load of seats with the stage.

I'd like Eurovision to be in a stadium, of course there's a chance of rain if there's not cover though :( But these ever smaller arenas are becoming almost like concert halls they're so small :(
