Am I the only one who does not think that the stage is that ''bad'' and ''small''?? It looks ok on the picture with some lights turned on.. c'mon lets wait for the final result ;)

Ok, I'll admit this pic is a little worrying...:?

I think if they removed the side pillars altogether, it would get rid of the "enclosed" and "claustrophobic" feeling, as it does seem a little too small.
I still holding faith that it will be amazing though:D

I'm sure it going to look nice on TV.
Tbh I really miss a satellite-stage and a catwalk .... with those tubes it looks like the crowd will be far away from the artists. I think we shouldn't really judge the size yet as we haven't seen a long shot with the whole stadium interior for now.

On a serious note, excuse you?! The Oslo stage was amazing!! Very different! It would have been terrible if they just copied Moscow and went all LED-crazy, as they did in Dusseldorf. It brought the focus to the song, rather than whatever was going on in the background, that's why so many genuine songs placed higher rather than countries that sent a mediocre song that had an amazing backdrop (case in point, Ukraine 2011) Plus it dragged down the participation costs which was very important given the economic crisis was threatening so many country's participations that year. Let's not forget that NRK was on a tight budget that year, having had to sell broadcasting rights to the World Cup to a competitor in order to even host the contest.

I disagree.Oslo looked like it was the year 2000 and not 2010...
Okay, this is a song contest, but when i rank the songs, the stage performance has some say in the whole thing too and i know i'm not the only one.
I didn't knew about their loss of WC but i still think they could've done better with the budget...and let's don't forget the big 4.

Judging from the graphic pictures on page 1 the audience does look pretty far from the stage and artists. Perhaps the pictures exaggerate the distance and it won't look as big when we see it in real life on screen xshrug

I like the stage so far, I think people are really overreacting... at least give it a chance when it's fully functional.

It ALWAYS looks better on TV but ugh those ugly metal bars. And meh, would it had been that hard to add a catwalk?

I feel like dancers are going to fall off from the stage when we have small stages and it makes Eurovision look like a national final. I also didn't like 2009 stage, it was unnecessarily huge. Something in between would be nice.

I'ts nice but I would've prefered had they played with the dimensions of the tubes and maybe went for a more dense tube construction than it is.

All those tubes are going to light up right?

I'd hate to be someone up close to the stage then.... those look like they can be blinding

Same^ it looks smaller than I thought it would be, and considering it's suppose to be the anniversary year I'm not feeling any kind of Grand or special event here.
