I really like that it's some form of enclosure, that the stage is framed! xup I hope it won't remain all white though?

I don't get what is comfortable or better when there isn't catwalk as first posts are so positive about that. Representers do really good things with them. Azerbaijan 2010, Denmark 2011 were catchy and dilly.

About the stage... Maybe because of being "draft" or quality of the pics, it didn't really catch my attention. The stage looks so small like 2007, and those LEDs... are so exaggerated. I hope the background won't be like from 2010. I am not that positive about the stage right now.

My favourite stages are 2009 from Russia (the stage was the way too big though) and 2011 from Germany.

Don't really know what to think. The design looks alright (albeit slightly too retro and 2003'ish for my taste) but the stage looks really isolated. Also, I suspect the huge size might take away focus from the artists and their stage presence. But let's wait and see how it actually turn out irl...

Will they be able to walk over the "spiral", or do anything with it at all? Looks like most of it is useless, it takes up so much space, and they won't be able to get very close to the audience. The actual stage floor area seem pretty small, like 2014's, but that at least had walkways on both sides, this seems to have nothing at all besides the main circle! Something like Greece's "Rise Up" would suck on this stage, or any big dance number with lots of props.... but maybe there's something more to be seen about it!

i guess there will be a second stage for the presenters. there is usually no grandstand opposite the stage or just a mobile one in the stadthalle. thus there might be the greenroom, commentators boxes or/ and another stage opposite the main stage, maybe connected by a "bridge".

The "lights" are LED's

I have LED's in my room and trust me they are bright and it's not wise to stare at them too long as they are described as a Class 2 Laser.

I hope the huge LED pillars won't blind the audience. I am already a little bit scared of the noise, the brightness and the heat in the arena.....

led pillars dont produce heat and they dont shine bright as floodlight. they just change the colour similar to a tv screen.

The heat comes from the missing air conditioning. I once watched a musical in the Stadthalle, and I got sick and ran home in the break, because the air was so heavy and hot.

stadthalle does have air conditioning, question is how it was adjusted when you were there. if you visit holiday on ice for example it will be quite cold, because the ice does not like it woo warm :-)

I heard someone at eurovision.tv say that the stage will be bigger than the one from 2011

Now, I don't think it's true and that does not make it a better stage, but still interesting.
