The way media has talked about how his performance is too dark, not intimate enough etc. Sure the camera work could be even more intimate but the visuals were breathtaking and he sounded just as good and passionate (even more) as in the studio version. Im.banking.on.this.bitch.bianca.del.rio.gif

Yesterday's performance only confirmed my favorite of the year, I really hope it will win tomorrow :)

Word has it he smashed the jury final performance. He's about the only act the press centre goes absolutely silent for

To be honest, I didn't enjoy it at all.

Even his vocal performance was very quiestionable last night. From the casual viewers that I was watching with, nobody liked it and everyone was wondering why is he such a favorite.

He will probably be better tomorrow, but overall, I don't see him as a winner. And I hope he won't win.

if he wins, i will be quite upset. his performance is a bit... flat. his vocals are amazing, no issues regarding this, but it falls flat overall. but, well... he'll deserve it.

Probably he wins already tonight. There will be no country that their jury will give less than 8 points.

Even Salvador got 2 Zeroes and a few 4-5s.

I still don't get the popularity of it

Buuuuut after live shows, i do have it higher than lithuania and beligum, so that's basically a win for him. These 3 songs are so similar. Why is only one loved idk...xshrug

:nl: is my brother's favorite :geek: And I made my mother listen to 4 songs (:it: :ru: :nl: :ch:), she liked them all (she doesn't like Eurovision at all normally) but said :nl: was very impressive and the best one :geek:

So, I'm rejecting them.

I have a theory this might be a song that caters more to Western Europeans, so I hope we Easterners go for :is:, :au: or something more daring. ;)

Definitely agree. I have a feeling I'll be bawling my eyes out, I don't know why but I've envisioned a winning moment for Duncan for the past few days - the trophy sitting on the piano during the winner's reprise and then the confetti starting to fall on the penultimate chorus. Would be an emotional moment for me for sure

I have a feeling many tears will fall anyway. People who hate the song are convinced it won’t win and people who love it are convinced it will. People will get disappointed anyway.

Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Anything can happen still.

I agree ! I should miss something in Arcade. It's not a winner for me nor the winning song BUT I will be the first to congratulate him if he wins cause he would have won fair and square by the rules of this contest. I'm not a "sore loser" (well I have nothing to loose lmao). Everybody seems to agree he's the winner, I'm beginning to believe it too.

I didn't think Italy was winning in 2017 too but I was also convinced by everybody with the hype that was surrounding him in 2017. Let's see if he's gonna have the same fate or not.

It’s not the same situation. Italy 2017 fell from favorite status after people seen the staging, it didn’t had any impact, and he was no favorite anymore!
In Duncan’s case...he never loses his favorite status, it only grew.
