There were will be so much booze where I'll be on Saturday evening that my nerves will be heavily sedated by the time the voting starts. I just have to stay attentive until Madonna has performed, as I've been her fan since 1983.

I know the feeling, I remember back in 2012, that day all the way until the broadcast was terrible ;)

I think I will have to take tranquilizers and hug my dog closely.

But even if the Netherlands doesn’t win, it was a fantastic year for the Dutch fans. I mean who would have though that we would experience something like this a few years ago?

I wish Duncan wasn't such a huge favorite to win in... it makes me nervous. I realy realy realy was looking forward to one day experience that my country would win the Eurovision. It seems now we are so close, what a dissapointment it will be if he doesn't make it. I will be proud though.

Me, 42 years old now. I have been following the Eurovision since I saw Sandra Kim winning with J'aime la Vie. Every year I was hoping to experience such a victory for my country. I never truly liked a entry of my country. Some were okay, but I never loved it. The song of Ducan I loved from the very first minute I heard the song. I truly believed we could have something here and then I was so happy to see he went up in Ranking. But now I can barely watch. Still love his song... But not realy sure of his staging. It worries me... eventhough he still goes up in ranking.

Anyway sending lots of luck and positive thoughts to Duncan!

But Lets sent Sieneke again next year... so I can relax, breath and just expect nothing!

Such a beautiful text, I can feel the pressure :) And I totally understand your feelings. I think we experienced the sweet surprise in 2010, at least I didn't expect it and I knew many of the german eurovision fans thought we could never win anymore. I wished for a dutch victory since 2014, still an entry that I truly love. I also thought it should be disappointing for the Netherlands now not to win. I did not expect this huge favourite vibes and I'd say it better never gotten this status. Nonetheless I wish you all the best tonight and probably on Saturday. It will still be a miracle if you win. If not this year, the time will come one day.

I'm pretty sure he is winning and I will be very happy for our Dutch neighbours. I like his song a lot (although not my favourite) but the stars are aligning for him this year!

Still the strongest contender for the win in my opinion, but honestly I am not so sure any longer that everything is already decided. I don't know, maybe others will disagree, but I have a feeling that he left some room for the competition to get ahead... We shall see.

I really really really liked the staging. It was very classy.

Oh, I'm a bit disappointed... Not by Duncan's amazing voice, not by the brilliant song.... but by him sitting there all the time so far away... too many camera angels not showing his face. xcry1xcry1

I like the song but the staging is disappointing. It just doesn't look the way a winner should look like. It's not just that it's minimalist and there is nothing going on apart from him playing the fake piano; there is also this stupid lamp. It looks so silly when they lower it so he can look at it for a few seconds and then it's pulled up again xfacepalm.

Yesss, Duncan chose 1st half. Omg, that performance was creepy, boring and his voice seemed bit off in one part.

This is doing really well on YT and the jury will love it. (plus it has a huge lead at the bookies) Amsterdam 2020 it is.

I like this song - not as much as in the beginning anymore though, it's a fader. And the staging didn't make me become a convinced fan of the song. People said it , just sitting behind the piano like a classic style is not enough. Didn't seem like a winner to me at all. But people seem to love it.

LOVED the staging and performance! I'm not an emotional person, but the performance tonight was definitely emotional. It was brilliant.
