Ilse DeLange, Hans Pannecoucke and Ignace d'Haese will be the creative team responsible for the staging, and travel to Tel Aviv. Same team that has been responsible for the staging of 'Calm after the Storm' as well - I trust Ilse when it comes to staging, she knew what she wanted in 2014 and it delivered

The only thing I'm f***ing, is stupid
Even if I'm still not completely sold by this song after the live performance, I believe this will be top 5 if the dutch is playing the cards right in May.

Good Game

I've been listening to this on loop for ages and I think it might be one of my most satisfyingly eargasmic music experiences ever? The final few notes are identical to the first few notes so it loops SEAMLESSLY and it's sooo good like adjsksh!:&/ my aural ovaries burst fr

The live version sounds better and better as it goes on, the start slightly shaky. There's atmosphere like with the Austrian song and the intensity feels better than the studio version.

I must say the refrain reminds me a bit about this song so that's why it spoke to me immediately :D

I dont know why but I somehow have to fight the tears while this song is playing on my playlist. It just has this melody that gives me chills everytime I hear it. I am so freaking in love with this song. Its hard to describe. Can someone explain what it is about? :( It sounds so sad and melanquolic. Not sure if Eurovision EVER had such a brilliant, emotional, modern ballad like this.

It’s about a person he loved and lost, who died, and the hope there still is to see that person again (the hope is reflected by the light and the surface of the water in the video).

Sorry Netherlands... I got your song wrong the first couple of times. I claimed it was quality - but that it was a bit forgettable. Well, it's NOT. Duncan's stripped down live version was magnificent, and I did get touched...I love the melancholic feeling of the song, and they way Duncan's voice transmits fragility. The only thing; I prefer when he is not going into falsetto.
A solid 10, and might be a 12. Which means it's in my top 3.
Again; well done :nl:

I'm tipsy but an update: I'm still listening and I'm at the point where I really want to marry Duncan ASAMFP (as soon as mother fucking possible)

His live voice is excellent lol. The main problem I find is that he isn't as charismatic during the performance as I would have hoped him to be (he was very nervous), but there's time to improve that. The basic framework is there.

This is an excellent entry.

Yup I agree. He doesn't grab me much during the performance, but considering it's his first 'live' performance of the song and there is still time for him to improve. The song is really good, vocals are fantastic but I am sure he will be even better over time and practices, he needs to work on how to make people connect with him and the song. Winner's song? Not for me as of now, but a top 5 is easily achievable.

Tumblr, mostly.
No offense Preuss, but Blanche is a terrible example. Blanche was charismatic in both performances due to her vulnerability (same reason why people are sleeping on Zala's charisma). Duncan looks near-death during his. At least half of that is down to nerves but I would advise Hans Pancake to make the staging pretty dark just for good measure.

Still better than Sennek who looked twenty-eight months dead.

But did Blanche win the contest? No.

I think at the point in time, I believe the general consensus is that the song is going to end up in the top 10/5/3.
But to win the contest in totality at this point, I think some of us are still not convinced.

I would love to see The Netherlands win this year. I think they really stepped it up since Anouk and it would be fitting to end the 2010s with a Dutch victory.
