Ouch the lyrics are really pure and honest

I have some staging ideas for this song in my head already
Those songs are usually the best

LOVE THE CHOIR
Could this «challenge» Sweden for the same votes and emerge on top??

Sweden has nothing that could top this. The Netherlands is a clear winner right now.

BRAVO NETHERLANDS!

This is a top possible 10 even higher song for me. I'm not the one to look down on ballads that are good, and this is very well made.

And i can already see the intimate staging with low lights focused on the singer (hopefully no dancing or something dumb that takes away from it).

It’s a good song, quite generic though, and winning in Eurovision is taking risks! 7 points.

If there's one word I could clasify this, is delicate; it's a lovely, delicate, almost fragile ballad.

I like big bombastic and campy as much as everyone else, but sometimes it's nice to have a gentler, more softer kind of song; the lyrics are beautiful, "loving you is a losing you" is probably my favorite phrase so far; the chorus is stronger than it seems, and the way it ends, quietly, hauntingly, like a ghost or a mermaid... argh, it's something amazing.

10 points. The Benelux it's PRETTY strong this year.

Great video, fantastic song - simple but very powerful. I also like the lyrics.

All these new entries that have been revealed in the last couple of days sound more and more like American radio songs. I mean, they are great in their own right and they will appeal to general population cuz we are "Americanized", but it is starting slowly to annoy me. ESC is again looking more and more like American Idol. I don't know if this annoys me or not. In any case, the song gets my 12 points. A nice entry, cute guy (another one ). Hopefully the staging will be great and live vocals deliver it. Finals are secure if it all works out fine.

This will appeal so much to the mass crowd that it will do incredibly well in the televote or just kinda get lost like Bulgaria last year, i think. It will 100 percent qualify though.

This is my winner. Amazing job, dear neighbours. I got goosebumps all over and Gosh, his voice is everything. Good luck in May - this is in it to win it. xlove

Okay so the final outcome is quite decent, after all that pre-fuss... But it's not totally winning me over. I still don't like his voice that much... But yes I can also see it doing really well! Smells at least like top 5!

8 points from me!

High quality entry from The Netherlands this year... would be great to see them reaching a good place again in Tel Aviv.

YES. This year's Eurovision is SAVED. After the 3 incredible entries chosen this weekend along with Greece, Cyprus and Switzerland, The Netherlands sends this masterpiece. This is such a good song and Duncan is a great artist. 12 points from me :p

This should easily reach the finals. How well it does there depends on the staging, but it's a quality entry from my home country this year.

PLEASE i live for the day when Eurovision will consist of like 40 songs that i would listen to outside of a Eurovision setting. (And that doesn't mean english songs btw, since Soldi is my favorite this year and i have it on repeat constantly on my playlist).

I "enjoy" campy as much as the rest of yall and yes i enjoyed the Russian grannies baking and the occasional joke entry but as a music lover there would be nothing better than Eurovision consisting off actual quality acts from all countries.

So in your logic PanosAK quality is only if it sounds like Americanized Pop? Something local (not necessarily ethnic) can't be quality? At least that's what I read from this comment.

This so far has the biggest potential for chart success IMO. Could imagine my german radio playing this on repeat.

I am torn what the song is concerned. I love the verses of Belgium's song anf don't like chorus, here it is vice versa. 6 Points for now. :(

Huh? From what part of my comment did you get that?

Also, what makes you think that "American radio songs" can't be "ethnic"? Just look at Spanish/Latin music and how big it is in the States. Good songs are good songs regardless of style. So no, i don't think that only Americanized pop is quality but many "ethnic" songs in Eurovision i just haven't enjoyed, or rather, they are not songs that i listen to on a regular basis. .

But at the same time i am someone who listens to Greek/European music just as much as i listen to American music, just Eurovision "ethnic" is often very cheap imo
