I just tried to hear the song on a second time, even so I didn't like it at first sight...
But on second thought, WAOW!!!! That should definitely called a grower song without being annoying.
However, I'm not sure that will qualify this year though.

EDIT: I almost forgot to give it a mark or even rate it. I'd give it a for now.

Gosh yes, because I'm just so desperate for Sieneke and de toppers to make their grand return to the Eurovision stage. No, don't try to be funny and insult me it doesn't work. Trijtntje (sorry if it's spelt wrong, going on memory here) was hardly a breathe of fresh air with her bland pop song which eventually bombed at Eurovision -something I and many others saw coming a mile off. I never meant Douwe was copying, I meant the TV channel was trying to copy 2014, why else would they jump onto country music again? Not for the love it, I know that. It's them attempting to score big again with a formula that somehow paid off, only I don't see it working anywhere near as well as last time.

Who said anything insulting, im just trying to have a discussion with someones opinion which differs from mine. Im very eager to hear what you think we should have send. I believe dat Being insulted is decided by the receiving end, not the person who makes the statement. I still dont think the dutch broadcaster is copying, since country is a very broad genre and has actually Been pretty popular in the Netherlands for some time. Thats the same that Every girl in a dress that Goes to eurovision is copying Every one who went before her. As for Trijntje, she 90% failed because of the staging, not because the song wasnt good enough (a bit bland in my taste but whatever).

I guess we agree to disagree, but dont take it so heavy, its just an opinion

I'm surprised I like this. I usually don't go for this kind of "Me and my guitar" type of songs but I find it very enjoyable. Also, the lyrics give me peace. I don't know if it is because I feel nowadays things happen so fast that we forget to "slow down", but I kind of identify with what he says. I also think his voice suits the song and I don't get any unpretentious vibes from it. It's a simple song. The only thing that puts me a little bit off about it is its repetitive ending. Other than that, I really like it!

Ive listened to this a few times now and its actually a very nice happy song it could do very well as I like it more than calm after the storm, if he does good staging and vocals then top 5 at least I think.

This really growing on me, this is actually the type of song of country/folk songs that I've never liked, but there is something in this that just makes me calm and peaceful. The title says Slow Down and I am really feeling slowed down by this song in the best possible way. I will change my 8 points to 12

Yes, GREAT one, I like exactly the simplicity of it, I like vocal and composition, I hope live performance will be good as well! After yesterday big let down, amd many, many let downs in a row this season, lets hope Montenegro will be amazing today after GREAT Netherlands!
