Watched the live performace from Dutch The Voice... and when the backing singers look more cool than the actual singer, then you are in serious problems... I am sorry Netherlands, I can't see this pass even in a sucky semi. :(

Undo could, so why not a better song as well?

Undo is equally repetitive

Undo is repetitive, but nothing to the extent of this song, especially in the chorus. I'm bored, so I did a little thinking to show it:

Looking at the chorus as being the part where the same lyrics are repeated constantly to the same melody, both Undo and Walk Along spend (surprisingly) exactly one minute and thirty-one seconds on the chorus. However, the chorus of Undo uses twenty-four unique words, whereas Walk Along has... six. It spends over half of its runtime repeating just six words; lyrically, the chorus is literally four times as repetitive as Undo. I imagine it wouldn't be any more complex melodically either.

So I think your comparison's a little unfair. I want to like the Netherlands in ESC2015 - it's a catchy song, and Trintije is great live - but I don't think it'll be in my top half unless it gets rid of the one minute plus of why-ai-ai-ai.

And it's unequally boring and dated.

So, if chorus is a bad thing nowadays, why hasn't Nadine Beiler won back then in 2011!?

So it's alright if Netherlands sends a very generic entry, but when Sweden did it this year - "Undo is repetitive/boring/dated"? The same story with "Warrior".

lol, that's just the opposite of what is actually going on here.......

What's good for the goose, is good for the gander (Mitt Romney)

So, when Sweden can almost win with a boring repetitive song, so why cant the Netherlands with an amazing repetitive song? Any ideas y'all?

Awful song, really. Lazy product, generic music, cheesy repetative lyrics. Kinda makes me barf. 2 points.

"Undo" actually had an impact to it and a structure that allowed for impressive moments. It was dramatic and that usually goes down well at the contest. "Walk Along" meanwhile is a one trick pony that's floating in the middle of nowhere, relying completely on it's hook, because essentially that is what the song is about. "Undo", "Warrior".. sure we've heard them before many times, nothing extraordinary. Both have big moments though that stick out, both have buildups. "Walk Along" is currently just a plain pop song. It's not going to do anything to pull in non fans of the contest that may be watching. We saw what happened this year with Molly. An average pop song along with an uninspired performance can't carry you, even if you've got a technically decent voice. Work will have to be done and i'm sure they will work on things (the song as well hopefully).

But anyway, this is all subjective stuff. It's clear a lot of people like this one now as it is. As a song I find it very lackluster though personally, but maybe Anouk has great plans for staging? At Eurovision it's wise to bring a beautiful/daring composition, something big and dramatic or something that could be considered understated for the contest. "Walk Along" is none of those things currently.

My goodness, Mlyn... :'D Are you really serious when you connect everything someone says to the country they're from?

Yeah, it's kinda sad ESC fans basically attack others for their nationality

Good song although, based on the comments, I expected more. It is kinda repetetive. It starts great but falls down quite a bit in the chorus. It's a good song though and I think it can end well with the good live performance.

5 points.

Well, this time it didn't really work. Mlyn, Sanna has been known for a long time in Sweden for being quite old-fashioned, despite her pretty young age. But when she came to Copenhagen, the swedish delegation put her in a short dress and a different make-up, which made her look almost 15 years younger than what she looked like in Melodifestivalen. That, plus that she has a marvelous voice, one of the very best ones of 2014 and a song that brings out a strong emotion (despite the bit quirky chorus), made her hit the 3rd place. In the Trijntjes case, here the performance looked very static, she almost looked older in this preformance than what she is, The song didn't apply to me enough and the backing singers, that were styled pretty cool, had more charisma than the actual singer. That is what I think, I hope it can change til May cause the song ain't bad, it just needs a bit work on the preformance bit to make this "radio-hit" work as a "eurovision-hit"...which in many cases hasn't worked to connect together before.

I'm pretty confident that her performance in May will be prodigious.

Seeing the first live performance, I have no doubts that her performance will be great; that's not the issue. I'm more hoping for the song itself to change - to add some kind of high point, some emotion, some variety, something. It's a decent song as-is, but that's kind of disappointing when it has the potential to be more than decent.

Excuse me? I was talking to revallsay, wth do I know where he's from?! Just pointing out that the Dutch song is the one who gets bashed for being repetitive, what he completely reversed....
