I'm guessing/hoping for something like this, given the country aspect of it
Much rather than this other country duet that has (dis)graced the Eurovision stage

Happy with the artist choice but I don't want a dated country duet!!

Could be interesting, I hope they emphasize on the country (or maybe even some bluegrass-ish), but Waylon doesn't look too promising imo.

On Wikipedia it says 'The Common Linnets' for the Netherlands - is that an adapted stage name?

I love his husky voice. They sound promising... and that song A-Lister posted is awesome, very 'Of Monsters & Men'. Something in that vein or if we're going more country, then how about something similar to this classic:

Eternally gorgeous xheart

Actually, I didn't post any song... I just commented on a clip.

But yeah, something like Of Monsters And Men could work for me...

Without even hearing the song I feel that The Netherlands are going to be serious contenders this year. Both artists seem professional and no doubt the song will be very well produced.

Well i'm not familiar with either artist. I only just listened to a couple of songs by each of them and to be honest, none really got me excited so to speak. "Miracle" sounded like something that could win Eurovision though. Both speak perfect english, look good, feel contemporary. I'm calling fan favourite before we have even heard the song.

Well, I haven't heard much either, just the stuff posted in here. I hope they go down the Of Monsters And Men, Lady Antebellum or Lumineers route, because the stuff I heard so far were a bit too generic for my taste and if they aim for some (indie)-country/bluegrass pop then I hope they do it all in.

I could be wrong, but I'm not feeling Country at ESC at all.

Depends on what sort of 'country' they would aim for, but I'd rather have that than the lameness of what I've heard of both of them so far.

xfruits:

Ilse Delange & Waylon

It doesn't matter to me what they'll sing. I'm already happy they're going.
