I'm happy with Azerbaijan winning and Italy's second place. I'm not happy with Sweden finishing third and Estonia giving them 12 points. Otherwise, it was pure fun.

Yep, I'll include United Kingdom and Ireland too .
First change for me would be to add 9 and 11 points, I really dont know why they dont do that cuz it'd give more countries more points, seems sensible to me!! Also Id like the idea of weighting the points towards the population for each country - for instance Malta, a country of a few hundred thousand has the same amount of voting power as Russia, a country of 140 million. That's unfair cuz for all we know, based on the amount of votes, we could have a very different result to the one we got atm! Another could be to give out seperate Jury and Televotes for each country, that'd be nice too .

then this would be the end for small countries....if i got yr point,this would be unfair also...

abt yr 9/11 pts suggestion,i also agree,never really understood iac why these are missing:?

I never vote for my neighbours because they are my neighbours, I judge all songs individually and my favories and votes can wind up all over the continent sometimes.

I did not vote for my neighbours (finland, denmark and Iceland). I voted for Georgia and Ireland.

Maybe not you, but your country usually give their points to other Scandinavian/Nordic countries. And Spain receives the 12p from Portugal and Andorra (and surprisingly this year from France), and the Balkan/Baltic/Ex-USSR/British countries give their points each other. Even with the juries :?

I also believe that they have to do something to change the neighbour vote, last years with a clear favourite it was less obvious, but years like this one...

people talk about only what they want to see. Rock and roll sign is used by everyone even the presidents, it's just a cool sign. It has nothing to do with the music ..

I think the fans were way out of touch with the results this year! I can't remember a time when so many fan favourites failed? I'm not sure I'm liking the juries system at the moment :/ i know we moaned before them but all the juries seem to be achieving is making the middle of the road non offensive songs do really well ... I'll be very interested to see how the votes breakdown jury/televoting. Also does anyone think giving 5 people control of 50% of the votes is a bit extreme? Maybe 10 people per jury or lower % to 25%? I dunno, just throwing stuff out there.

Good show though Germany and look forward to Azerbaijan, I know little about the country so will enjoy finding out more

Those were clearly the weirdest results in recent history. If you had good hand at the predictions you'd could earn a fortune on betting. Sadly, I just came out around break even.

Just one song in the first 5 that I like (Italy), but that isn't news for me, as I seem to have a different taste than the usual European voter.

Azerbaijan isn't a surprise winner, I just wished they had a song that doesn't sound like other random american popsongs which I hear a dozen a day when I listen to our radio stations here. Still congratulations and you are one of the reasons I didn't lose money with my bets.

I honestly don't understand what is appealing about the swedish, ukrainian or danish songs. They all lack sould and are just so slick. Wish Bosnia would have made the top 3.

Also Greece at 7... Really? The chorus is good, I really like it, but Stereo Mikes rapping is just terrible. And not just slightly off, or awkward, but terrible terrible. I could do better and I have really no talent for rapping...

France didn't make the top 10, as I predicted, which is great. Our own 10th place is good. I can easily live with that result. I'm also impressed with Moldova. I thought I was one of the only ones who'd like it. Same goes to a lesser extent for Georgia.

Would have liked to see Serbia, Austria and especially Estonia way higher.

But it was a nice evening, a very good show and the voting was crazy close until quite late. I loved that!

listen what i blv...here in the forum, we are the euro-freaks we listen and listen to songs,talk abt them for months etc etc etc

it is clear though that many times,the average viewer+voter,has a rather different way of comprehending songs...for me ,estonia has never been a fav,was way too childish for my taste,but i could see people loving it here / for my country i was reading -from the majority-the worst comments /and i see today greece ended first(!!!) in semi final, and 7th in the final ,againsy all odds!!so what i mean is that many times,vast numbers of people may totally change the perception we hv in the forum

I think it could only be a win-win situation. That means that Scandinavia can't vote for Scandinavia, Greece and Cyprus can't vote for each other, all the ex-Soviet nations can't vote for each other, all the ex-Yugoslav nations can't vote for each other, etc etc. I think this would make people pay attention to the actual songs more instead of voting blindly for your friends and allies.

I do that sign too ...and a lot of my friends as well, just out of habbit I guess because we see it on tv too much... actually it's not a cool sign anymore becuz it's been overused by everyone on this planet lol and some people say the sign is an evil sign or whatever XD
