I eagerly waited for Loreen's snippet and... Can't tell if the song is great or just plain good. I want to hear the BEAT! The BEAT gets my heart BEATING xmetal Damn these snippet masters! Trying to keep the hype high, I guess :devilish:
But yeah, overall, sounds promising. And the staging looks WHOA! Although, this you-ho-hoo part has a potential to drag it down for me in the end, too. I have the same issue with Iceland's Silja Rós & Kjalar song. It would be my absolute favorite without that part :D

I REALLY liked Kiana! Waiting for the full song to put in my playlist! Count me in the fan club, please! xpray

Smash Into Pieces - also very promising! Like Like Like!

The other 4 in heat 4 - didn't feel them much.

There is a part of me that doesn’t want Loreen’s song to be great because I love getting into May without knowing who’s gonna win the contest (as we experienced back in 2012, 2013, 2015 or 2019). In my opinion it loses a bit the magic of the contest, but hey, this is how it works in the end.

Hard to predict how this Heat will turn out.

DTF: Loreen
DTF: Smash Into Pieces / Mariette
AC: Mariette / Smash Into Pieces
AC: Kiana / Emil

Mariette has a solid track record of always going directly to the final, but I'm not sure if she will be able to keep it this time. But you never know.

The performance looks really good and it does look like something that could win Eurovision or at least go very high imo.

Love that they preview another part of Tattoo in the video clip because the first minute (that has been revealed in the 1 minute snippet) is the most visually striking  They know what they're doing.

Sweden found an act, more likely. We are yet to listen to the song, but the snippet doesn't sound very promising to me. Unlike Statements it feels like Euphoria 2.0. I was never a fan of the 2012 winner though, mind.
So you say it's bad that it sounds like one of the most beloved winner songs and not more like her Mello Flop song?

Yeah, I know, but I never liked it nevertheless. I say it's bad as repetitions of successes hardly ever repeat the same success, but 11 years have gone, so maybe it's time to try the same formula and succeed... What do I know?🤷

I'm not familiar at all with the swedish music scene but someone told me this morning Marcus & Martinus are really popular in Sweden. I don't know the accuracy of this. Anyone to confirm this please ? How popular are they compared to Loreen ? I mean Loreen won Eurovision so i think she's extremely popular but i don't live there so i don't have informations.

Can we potentially have another TIX vs KEiiNO situation here ? Loreen being KEiiNO, the one to beat with the winner material song vs Marcus&Martinus being the other favourite with big fanbase (if this is accurate). I know there are also juries but i think they will respect Air performance a lot, thanks to the slick visuals and great vocals.

I have a feeling Loreen winning Melodifestivalen is not a done deal yet.

Kiana's performance is pretty nice, getting some positive vibes from it so it works for me.

Signe & Hjördis are confirmed time travellers. They took a wrong turn in the backstage of Melodifestivalen 1980 and ended up here. It's a cute performance all things considered.

Smash Into Pieces have such a cool staging, it makes the song sound less generic than it is.

Mariette's staging is giving me 'what do you do fellow kids' vibes. Her worst MF performance, really. I need dark and moody Mariette back.

Emil Henrohn's song and performance are just your average Melfest boreness. No.

Axel Schylström tries something, not sure what, but it's not working for me.

And finally, Loreen. Well, damn. That staging oversold. It really elevates the song and manages to escape the ceiling (lol) of Melodifestivalen's recent mediocrity. It's not the second coming of Jesus, as some on twitter are touting about it, but it has chances for another top 3 result. Loreen literally saving Sweden, because if it wasn't for her, they were so deserving a NQ.

I saw a blogger who covers Melfest every year say Loreen might be 2nd or 3rd in the audience poll because the staging makes it harder for her to connect with them in the arena.

Marcus and Martinus won their heat audience poll by a landslide but either could win the public vote.

Judging from the snippet and the rehearsal clip, it seems like we have already heard the chorus and there is no beat......

If that is the case, I will be truly disappointed since the chorus is so weak that it actually sounds like a pre-chorus

Nah I don't think so, the song is clearly constantly buildung and getting bigger. We haven't heard the climax, they wouldn't put that in these snippets.

I'm not Swedish but from what I heard, I think they're really popular with the younger generation (across Europe actually, they're known in Slovenia as well). But that won't help them that much since some Swedes wouldn't vote for a Norwegian act.
