At least Tennessee Tears went through to the second chance round. xpray Since they've finally gotten rid of the dreadful duels there after so many years, at least I don't have to worry about who they will have to face in a duel.

Her song was lacklustre, and the live performance didn't stack up against the others. Feel for her, but the song quality needs to be higher to carry you through.
I will have to watch the performances later but based on the snippets, this semi was pretty weak - I thought that Wiktoria had it in her bag (I mean, Andra Chansen was the minimum xD)

Whoa, i did not expect this at all. Apparently people saw something in Maria Sur's entry, i think it was one of the most bland and forgettable attempts in the genre imaginable, and Panetoz DTF.... i guess they somehow came across as more convincing among the other mediocre and dissapointing entries. And we have a perfect representation of Sweden's demography in 40 years on the stage!

Theoz to AC, expected, actually thought he would get DTF but the song really wasn't that good, and the performance looked a bit dark and aesthetically boring aside from all the movements. Tennessee Tears though, i didn't expect that bland country mess to make anything, but i guess it connected with a lot of people somehow.

I really expected Wiktoria to at least make AC, don't know what happened, but the chorus was weak and almost annoying, everything else about the performance was really slick IMO. I low key wanted Uje to make it, they made a amusing staging, but the vocals were not really there which might have ruined it. Eden, totally forgettable and full of vocal mishaps, no surprise there.

I really doubt we've even heard the MF winner at this point, Jon Henrik would be the only contender since Wiktoria didn't even make AC, so i guess it's gonna be someone from heat 3 and 4 to beat him.

They saw a sob story. Which matters more than a song, according to the swedes.

see: Bagge, Anders and Tusse.

but yeah this semi was really bad lol. Theoz was my fave by default? And nothing better than a 6.5 out of 10 rly.

Wiktoria - what in the margaret was this wheels on the bus nonsense?
Eden - some paul rey bullshit featuring inger vocals
Uje - he was like a bad, unfunny interval act and didn't even sing so yeah. Bitch ur no Edvard Blom.
Panetoz - somewhat enjoyable but this type of song has been done before and done better
Tenesse Tears - they were alright, but we've heard and seen better versions of this archetype as well
Maria Sur - a generic powerballad but she has a sob story and that's all (lit.) that matters :-)
Theoz - fun and bouncy, my fave by default but it's no Som du Vil!

Idk, maybe i'm underwhelmed because i thought Estonia and Latvia were WAY better tonight, but this Melfest has been very substandard so far. Sweden are entering their flop era. :(
