congratulations sweden!
this song was already played on the radio before eurosong. In Belgium 😊

what I sometimes wonder, what do you think of the odds? I'm losing my fun in eurosong because of this, the last 4 years has always won the highest at the odds. (I'm not saying they don't deserve it.) It's all so predictable, because you already know the winner. It's just not nice, I'm seriously thinking about just not watching the scoring next year, because you always know the winner anyway.
(sorry if I put this in Sweden's post, but I couldn't find where else to put it)
totally agree on the odds. I know people who are constantly checking them instead of really enjoying / watching the show and it seems to me they do have an impact on voting behavior.

I think the odds have become a self fulfilling prophecy. And I think a lot of the delegations use them as a marketing tool.

I hate that but I also check the odds on a daily basis.

Instead of skipping the scoring, do what I do and just avoid checking the odds. ;)

We shouldnt forget, that Eric Saade won the Televote and couldnt win because of Juries.
We shouldn’t also have dementia, because Azerbaijan won the televote

No that's not what I'm saying at all gosh
In two posts I already said this was a great entry and deserved their jury points and 1st place but all I say is that I hate the fact that they treated it like it was the only entry worth of victory.
Tattoo receiving more than twice the amount of points than Cha Cha Cha (and even Unicorn as 2nd place with the juries) is absolutely undeserved
The thing is though. The juries are not one entity with a coordinated result, they are 37 indipendent units who has no insight in each others scoring so they can't make it a tighter race just because you want them to.

If they aren't going to change jury voting to say, 30%, maybe they should start doing a 'Gold, Silver, Bronze' award.

Out of 26 in the final and around 40 in the semis, 1st, 2nd, 3rd is quite the achievement and may give people more 'peace'. Perhaps allow 2nd and 3rd an auto qualify the following year. Or something, I don't know.

It's clear that Sweden receive points, whether they send good songs or not, from the juries. It's just always out of touch with what the public want.

You should have started this discussion when Duncan won while finishing only 3rd in the tele

I wasn't on forum at the time, but I wouldn't have, because it just isn't in the same ballpark.

Here's all second places since 2014 and in some cases instead of second place it shows a song that just had a higher televote than the winner instead. The only thing that comes close at all to what happened yesterday is when Sweden won in 2015 and Il Volo got the shaft. Obvious jury pet Jamala sits in third and Duncan does show up vis-a-vis Norway, but it's like I said not nearly in the same ballpark.

San Marino (10 to Azerbaijan, 6 to Sweden) used 100% Jury.

Swedens Momentum over the last few Years (9 Jury Top3s and 2 Top10s since their Renaissance 2011) is pretty impressive.
Great to see that their hard Work paid off and resulted in another Victory.
Despite the initial Problems and the massive Hate, Melfest proved once more to be the NF worldwide.
This will encourage other Countries to try even harder.
I have a Feeling next Year will be the best NF Season ever.

They cost a ton of money, but as EBU Social Community Manager, Reaest has the budget for it

If this leads to everyone trying to find the best jury pleasing entry, it will be the most boring NF season ever. But I don't think that's going to happen.
