You should have started this discussion when Duncan won while finishing only 3rd in the tele
This is so low. As if someone’s opinion isn’t valid because they come from a country that benefitted from these horrible rules in the past. Do you even know that they didn’t say these things back then? Luckily there are many other people who also agree that the juries have too much power. I like having the juries, but they have too much power and aren’t even properly selected.

Uhhhhh I am literally the biggest hater of Duncan in this forum and I could go all the way on protesting that looking at an Ikea lamp while sounding like a dying cat shouldn't make someone win a competition but at least he got 12 from a few countries in the televote so I don't know how this is the same case?

If we were to compare this year to something this is basically Mans x Il Volo all over again (and perhaps not even that as afaik we don't know if mans got any televote 12s)

This + only 30 pts difference + Duncan was the only one who received televoting points from all countries if I remember correctly.

My point is that the jury score for the winner of the tele was only 40 points in total back then but people didnt act like this

Apples and oranges
But alright I get it I mean you have a signature of Loreen so I think you really like the apple and therefore it feels like an attack on you personally to defend the orange

Ok, you’re probably just being dense on purpose.

People definitely did make a fuss about that at the time + how can you not see that this is not the same thing at all?

I really do and I can understand where you all coming from, I was fuming when Il Volo didnt win back in 2015. But tonight... thank you juries!
You will get over it guysxheart

Thank you for admitting and proving our point by just quoting this part of my post that's kind
I will for sure get over it and will be looking forward to Sweden hosting Eurovision as 2016 was an amazing production but I still have a sour taste that it isn't Finland hosting next year. You can't deny that winning the televote with +130 points is something

Not a single :12: from televotes. All their neighbours ran in droves to Finland. At least Sweden is first in something for the Eurovision book of records.

By your own logic you should be fuming now too …

Thank you for pointing out your own hypocrisy.

oh damn you are sore SORE. Stop attacking me personally just because you are * salty *
I never said juries having the same power with televoters is democratic.
I said that these are the rules of the contest now and she won fairly. Either you like it or not, it is what it is. Never said that the rules are right or wrong.
Personally there are times I disagree with juries and times I agree with them, don't I have that right? And Im certain this applies to many people. In 2015 I didnt agree. In 2016 I thought Dami should have won overall, and now I think the same about Loreen.
And whatever you say, I am certain there were times you agreed with the juries too, it just happens this is not one of them.

I’m not sore actually and I don’t agree or disagree with the juries. I liked Finland and Sweden equally.

And if we’re talking about personal attacks, it’s my opinion that you started it, but sure, I’ll stop.

Tattoo is a good song and the performance is even better, but this victory was so anticlimactic.

This is totally NOT my winner, I haven’t changed my mind since I first heard it. But people should get a life and stop being bitter. We cannot change it. I just congratulate Sweden and hope they organize a great Eurovision next year.

congratulations sweden!
this song was already played on the radio before eurosong. In Belgium 😊

what I sometimes wonder, what do you think of the odds? I'm losing my fun in eurosong because of this, the last 4 years has always won the highest at the odds. (I'm not saying they don't deserve it.) It's all so predictable, because you already know the winner. It's just not nice, I'm seriously thinking about just not watching the scoring next year, because you always know the winner anyway.
(sorry if I put this in Sweden's post, but I couldn't find where else to put it)

totally agree on the odds. I know people who are constantly checking them instead of really enjoying / watching the show and it seems to me they do have an impact on voting behavior.
