"Disgusting" is as harsh as the cheering you are angry about.

I had to laugh too, sorry. Sweden is one of my favourite ESC countries and I like a lot of songs of them but "Dance you off" was such a no go. Any other country wouldn't have survived the semi with this song. So of course it was overrated by the juries! And of course people were laughing.

This year is much better but Sweden is playing safe, it's not their best song. It's a song that is easily loved by a younger and older audience so that giving them a lot of jury points (and I expect it will get those!) is justified and people won't complain like last year. So don't be afraid, public and juries will give a lot of points to Sweden this year... they will end up 5-10 I think.

No I disagree, if an other country had sent DYO and have had that stageshow it would still been 2nd with juries.
The song has a high quality in terms of production and the performance did bring something new to the ESC.
Benjamin was also very professional on stage.
Juries values those things.

And no I don't think the argument "not like the song" justify people to act that childish to be honest...
You could also see videos from the press-room and people in there dancing and celebrating.
Add all the comments in social media where pepole said that the moment when Sweden got the televotes was the "highlight of the night"...

Also all the hate that was directly against Benjamin last year was unacceptable and he even said in intrerviews after that he feelt the hate against Sweden...

Not to like a song and disagree with the juries is one thing, this was (and still is) something else.
And disgusting is a perfect word for it.

Have all of you guys quoting hate and disrespect forgot the video with Benjamin reacting to other 2018 entries, or have you just not seen it?

I still think the jury points for Benjamin were ridiculously, even suspiciously high and I still consider him coming so low with the public a huge satisfaction. Love this year's Sweden entry though.

That's being honest to me. Not hate though. Fans can say whatever they wanna say about every entry, why couldn't he? The worst thing for him is it's really bad for PR. A public figure should learn how to be diplomatic or you're in serious trouble.

to reiterate the point i thought was obvious earlier but i guess not: people who root against sweden do it at least partly (if not mostly) out of the constant "jealousy gets you nowhere" attitude, and that starts with björkman himself. the man gets closer to just being a cartoon villain with each passing year and people are still surprised some fans want to see sweden go down a peg? and the majority of the fanbase still loves sweden regardless lol. you guys can absolutely deal with a relative handful of people poking holes in the picture perfect-ness of sweden in eurovision without complaining all the time. i believe in you!!

also benjamin ingrosso did nothing wrong!!! (in 2018. this year he composed bishara's song. REPENT, BENJI.)

If it was only a respectful "honest reaction", there would be no need to take down the video. I wouldn't perhaps blame him of hate, but of disrespect - definitely.

Seriously, those amazing women are Sweden's secret weapon this year :D
Absolutely lifts the performance, but most importantly, doesn't overshadow John

Luckily Sweden had this entry this year, or ESC would be very interesting to see how Sweden could possibly do if they sent for example Bishara or that duo I've forgot the name of

Very easy, we would have missed the final with Bishara

Benjamin's vocal was not that good last year. The whole performance looks alright the first time I saw it, not so great for third or fourth times watching.
This year he sounds like an actual singer.

This is my favorite entry from Sweden since Loreen. I actually even like it at the moment more than Euphoria (maybe also because I've heard Euphoria so often). It's powerful, uplifting, it has a strong chorus and it has several surprise moments throughout the song. John is a charismatic performer, his movements and facial expressions really come across very natural and not at all trained and choreographed (as we had it in recent years all to often - yes I'm looking at you Robin and Benjamin).

To be fair, I don't consider Netta, Eleni or even Mikolas for that case to have particularly great vocals last year - vocals are not crucial if you want to do well in ESC these days to be fair

That being said, I've heard some of Benjamin's songs from his new album from last year or something because my sister liked it and listened to it - I really don't think DYO did any justice to his voice at all because his voice is quite nice imo

If there's one thing that I might not particularly like with John's performance is the fact that he does the same move all the time
Like closing his eyes, sing in the mic and take his left arm out
Like maybe mix it up a bit when we get to Tel Aviv

Interesting observation and I noticed that as well. Though to me, it was quite appealing as it gave me a vibe of him being totally into it. That being said, it may be off-putting to some.

Well, I don't really mind the move but it would be nice if he varied a bit more in my humble opinion. And give the staging a bit more light!

My favourite Swedish entry since 2004. euphoria is overrated. It‘s 90s house track.

Too late for love is an uplifting swedish schlager bop that I missed for many years. Not a fan of 2003 and 2006, but i also loved their 2002 and 2004 entries a lot. Och alla omkriiiiiiiiiig....

Only portugal steals the number 1 spot this year for me.
