Winning isnt everything, and it is not as if Sweden hasnt won before or even fairly recently!

I don't agree, I for one will not be happy if her naive behavior caused us the victory. Obviously it won't be HER fault, but she should understand the context she's in.

That's the reason I dont want the Arabic and North African nations in Eurovision. We'd have the problems of Azerbaijan multiplied. What happens with the Arab Spring is nothing to do with Eurovision. What happens in Azerbaijan is now to do with Eurovision, particularly as the regime is trying to bombard us with their sh*tty propaganda. We must not stand for it!

You didn't get my point, some of the criticism towards Azerbaijan is very black and white, I compared it to the others because, although it's not really comparable, it's still this type of blind criticism that turns these countries even worse.

I mean, I for one applaud secularism in Azerbaijan and the fact that radical muslim groups (unlike in the west) so far CAN'T use "democracy" as an excuse to radicalize the country.

I know this is off-topic, but I think that one should never fall into black and white ways of thinking. With this said, I do acknowledge the wrong-doings of this regime aswell and their behavior in Eurovision, but I don't think it's the time and place to go around like Loreen did, and yeah I think this might prevent us from winning. And yes, she IS there to compete in music, not to make political statements (which thankfully she didn't explicitly do, but nevertheless the damage has been done anyways).

I mean instead she should have gone promoted herself on Azeri TV or something (like some of the other contestants have done), instead of going to these groups. Oh well. We will see the outcome on Saturday and if it'll be used against her.

I hope they see it for what it was: field-trips.. and not some active political statements.

Loreen did good but she can do even better. Still, good for loreen is still a lot better than most of the other entries. I don't think sweden will win but I guess it will be top 5. anyway, loreen will have a career and probably a worldwide hit.

actually, I was thinking of voting for Sweden this year as I did for Eric last year. but seeing the comments I've seen so far, I gave up. I see her name everywhere, which has become something unbearable for me. I'm sicked of it. that also happened to me in 2010 when Safura was so exaggerated and as a result, I didn't vote for her. I think it's the best Azerbaijan entry, though.

An arse-licker. I dont say things to impress other people, I stick to what I said before, but I am saying that she had a good performance last night. And you're still moaning GOD, you could argue with your toe nails.
So you're saying... she's a terrible singer, but she put on a good performance last night? So it's not a sign of her being a good singer, it's a sign of her having a good performance?

I don't understand why you can't just recognize that you made a (huge) mistake. Loreen isn't a terrible singer, she never has been. You made a huge mistake when you claimed that she was based on... the one performance when she was ill? But to expect you to admit you were wrong is to expect too much, I guess.

This isn't about whether or not you're an arselicker. It's about whether or not you're capable of admitting to being wrong. Have fun worshipping One Direction and Tooji, yet criticizing Loreen's vocal prowess.

Wait, I guess I know what PITA means....

I'd rather have an AL, I prefer that anytime to a PITA, lol .

She's there to compete in music. Eurovision should not be a political platform.

Eventhough I agree that it's a "noble" thing, the timing is idiotic and it'll probably cause her the victory. Naivety is never cute... she's the only artist in this edition that has done such a thing.

no way...what would Ali Hasanov do? meet all the jury across Europe and pay them not to vote for her?
He can't even modify the televoting of his own country
There is 0,1% chance you'll not win.....

Anyways, all you haters WILL get your wishes come true, Loreen will not win, and it's her own fault. She picked the wrong country and really the wrong occasion to act Mother Theresa in.
xrollinglol you've always been so pessimistic about Loreen's chances :) Already since february, when she performed Euphoria for the first time. But of course it's always easier to prepare yourself for the worst, than to get your hopes up too high.

Excuse me, I dont need you to tell me if I've made a mistake! I will make that judgement myself, and I decide that I have not made any mistake whatsoever! I still believe Loreen isnt a good singer (and she's a 4th placed Idol contestant - then you have the cheek to criticise the UK's entries when we're sending an international legend who was friends with Elvis Presley!) And I always admit when Im wrong, but in this case Im not.
And Im saying that Im enjoying Loreen's performance yesterday, and I will no doubt tomorrow too. Why you still being moody with me, not that you should have been in the first place anyway?

I must say i am really proud of her, she performed the best performance Sweden has ever made! Good job! But i must say the singing was a little bit layed back, but i think she will give 100 %, to the newspapers Loreen says that she has an acoustic version of Euphoria and one original, she mixed them both up and in the middle of the song she was confused. But she still delivered in this boring semifinal and i hope she will win! :se: Go Loreen! You are the best!
