Megafonenfesten story: Loreen trivdes på Megafonen-festen i Skellefteå

First part transled:

Shortly before midnight on Friday 27/4, Loreen stepped up on stage at the Megafonenfesten in Skellefteå with an audience of 1200 people. The audience was ecstatic during the show and Loreen was very happy and grateful for the gig.
- Hysterically good! It's not every day that the audience sings along and are this crazy. It was an awesome crowd and an interaction between me as an artist and the audience, says Loreen and continues:
- As an artist, you are nothing without those who listen. Here they dared to show that they liked the music. I've never seen anything like it. Fabulous.
- It's not every day you have this kind of audience. It is every artist's dream to have an engaged audience and, sadly uncommon today, but here people showed appreciation and I liked. I am grateful.

I can not say that I do not care what the results will contest, but for me the winner is Loreen, and not the Eurovision 2012, but Eurovision Song Contest 1956-2012 :D

I watched the first episode of Adresse Baku. It's easy for a Swede to follow if the subtitles are on and worth the time due to Linda Eide.

Wonderful, funny and clever Linda Eide. xheart Enlist Linda Eide for Inför ESC 2013!

"...the Finlandswedish makes me tingling" :)

Marianne Jemtegård - a Norwegian celebrity?

"Iceland ... it's the obvious favourite among Nightwish and Evanescence fans, which should be about 4 persons these days" xslap

Christer Falck - Norwegian "alfahanne"

"She sings in Swedish which automatically brings out my hate, but charming since she's Finnish, haha - 12 points":shock:xpuke

Well, that obviously hurt my inner feelings so I checked this guy up. Apparently he was expelled from the Norwegian record company association for cheating with VG-listan pop chart. Hm, I see, he's the Sluggo then. The kind you'll meet speeding snow scooter in Storlien because it's forbidden in Norway or buying 500 25cl Coke light aluminium cans because it's so cheap. There is a Norwegian word for this cathegory ... Harry or something.

This reaction is understandable for everyone. But apparently this isn't what you mean when you repeatedly come back and express this overrated statement.
I repeatedly come in? really?

FYI i don't come in here to say the song is overrated. it adds nothing to conversation, so i don't post unless i have something else to say...

my post was EXPLAINING the word "overrated" to people who continuously say they don't understand it.

it's kinda funny how this thread goes

random person:
meh overrated, but ok.

die-hard fans:
omg you are so useless! i don't even understand what is overrated! Loreen is the $#!T! go away! this awesome song can't be overrated because i don't understand what overrated is!

so i tried to explain it couple of times... but to no avail

as to the potatoes reference... good try
YES! it IS matter of PERSONAL taste...
overrated is MY PERSONAL view at some things. just like some other random person, as well as die-hard's view on this song being the best ever.
IT'S ALL PERSONAL.

so saying that my preferences don't matter... well... how do yours matter then?

it all matters, cause you will vote for something you like, someone will vote for something else. the voting IS part of the show because it's all PERSONAL perference.

there is no universal truth in art.
there is in math, in physics and other sciences...
but not in art. well apart from fundamentals like wrong note...

The thing is:
There is a "trend" where people form their opinions on this song based solely on the fact that it's the favourite.
Pretty much all the negative comments i see on this song, has the word overrated in it. So the argument isn't something related to the song or the performance. It's apparently because it's "overrated"... Well, I think some people just feel the need to be the counterweight, when something gets very popular.

Well, I think some people just feel the need to be the counterweight, when something gets very popular.
you have a valid point there... some people just can't help but go against the popular opinion...
but that's exactly why so much attention is (or can be) bad for a song (or movie, or some other form of art)
there is a portion of people that will be against it... just because... and i remember that feeling. it's not like you don't like it, but there's something inside you that protests against this very popular and well liked thing...
things like that can annoy some people. and if you annoy enough people it can cost you the win
or not...
but (and i hate this phrase lol ) it is what it is...
actually it's good that people talk and argue. if art doesn't promote argument, it has no reason for existence. if it's just walking that line where everyone likes it, what's the point?

It is better to be a song that people either love or hate than a song that a lot of people think indifferently "oh, this is nice" and then don't vote for it at all.

This is an irrelevant and rather stupid statement to make, right? Your personal taste for potatoes isn't of real interest for anybody but yourself. The second statement of overrated is impossible to understand because it relates to an for everybody else, unknown ranking or list of potato dishes. Who cares about ranking potatoes and what is on that list? The response you'd get could be something like:

-So   ... good for you or bad for you rather, who cares :(?

So reconsider your spirit, guys! :)

Relax, all i was saying there's a huge difference between "Oh i love it, that's my number one this year and i would love to see her winning" and "wow i love it, she's gonna win hands down!", nobody knows that, right? We haven't seen a single rehearsal yet. Loreen is awesome and she does a great job, but let's be honest and admit there are other songs and countries deserving to win, that's all ;) Don't say Hop before jumping.

P.S: I thought that snow is out of question, but if she's gonna have it on stage - i'm happy, that's my favorite moment of her presentation :p
