She really f*****g knows how to belt out those notes in the chorus. And I just love her vibrato in the verses

In my opinion, the vocals were even better here compare to how it was in the studio and first edition. By combining this with the original coreographics from MF in Baku, this can indeed become interesting!

I do not know why everyone did not like this version, I liked it very much, and I think that Loreen sang a specially differently than will be at Eurovision.

Funny, I've been thinking about the same thing, comparing her height when she stands next to someone. Look at the SVT Ana Gina Show with Loreen (with the rabbit-hat). She looks tall, but then again she got those shoes.

IKR? I've been nexto yer twice but she was wearing high heels... So I can't tell how tall she is... :?

She preformed barefoot in Melodifestivalen and still looked pretty tall to me. I'd guess she's about 175 cm (or more).

You have been next to her twice :eek:? Now I'm green with envy ! How did that happen?

Hahaha yes! I met her last year after the final in Globen and then again in May at the Rix FM festival. And now that I saw the photos again, she can't be more than 1.70m! I'm around 1.62-1.63 and she is half a head (LOL) taller than me in the photos and she's wearing high heels. So definitely not taller than 1.70!

Lucky you!!
Yes, around 1.70 was my guess too.

Hi Laleh ;)

I'm 168 cm and I thought she was at least 5-10 cm taller than me! But I know I'm pretty bad at estimating people's height. :D

We have missed a huge occasion:oops:! NRK1 is broadcasting their own "Inför ESC" called Adresse Baku . They speak an easy to understand Norwegian and there are subtitles in Norwegian. :)

Why can't a song be universally liked? Is it some sort of law of nature that if a song is good with potential and lots of people like it equals being overrated? Well, overrated of course is subjective, if one doesn't like a song much it will always comes across as overrated.

But it seems like people who like it also call it overrated for the simple fact that lots of people like it aswell.

Oh, and I don't believe victory is assured at all, but in my book this has winner written all over it and SHOULD win quite frankly, but nothing is fair and ESC barely is, so we'll see.. I don't take anything for granted.

I'm sorry, although I think we must stick together in these wary times, I wonder:
Your focus is on this aspect of current is a bit strange. Just because it's recently done doesn't mean any additional value IMO. I understand that you mean the song is hooked on recent musical trends, but that doesn't really mean anything either. If we turned Melodifestivalen and Eurovision into a contemporary pop chart, what is the point with everything?

My view is that it instead should be counterforce to international (say British/American) pop, support local national music scenes and function as a platform for release of these scenes. Don't you agree? Swedes can be eager to have and use an easy promotion scene for contemporary Swedish pop (as it is at present), but in the long run this is not in our interest.

edit:
I still love your suggestions for MF 2013

Actually, there's a good and bad side of the current aspect, and if you've followed me on here you'll notice that I'm a strong fighter for local sounds and native languages.

On the other hand, I do realize the fact that Eurovision was always a laughing-stock for being old-fashion and off-trends (and that doesn't apply to the local sounding songs but Pop songs that sounded like dated Pop more or less).

I think it's good for Eurovision as a contest if it combines the support for local, but also stays a relevant force in the music world and atleast produce ONE cross-over hit per year, which it barely does. Trust me, I don't want this contest to be a platform for contemporary Pop, but I don't think it hurts either if it atleast feels sort of in-touch with current music in the meantime.
