^ And Eurovision is not a funeral. Eurovision definitely shouldn't be just about fun.

Some people like fun, some people like to be entertained.

If the ballads were any good and not just kitschy Disney stuff then maybe I could go for some more serious stuff, but since they're not then I'd chose the easy fun.

The only song I find serious and interesting and not just "fun" this year is Germany actually... also Bulgaria & Cyprus but those are already out unfortunally.

So I just watched the performance again and I can say I'm proud really. From now on I will cheer on my own country. Put the silly lyrics a side, the song is über catchy really. I want a fun, uptempo song to win this again... Eurovision shouldn't be a funeral.

Go Eric!

how did u get the link....???

Yes, but you said that it shouldn't be funerals. That sentence makes no sense - Eurovision never was about funerals and never will be.

So singing about losing parents / adoption is not enough serious for you? :?
Ukraine is more into Slavic ballads, Austria is more into gospel. Disney? Wtf!???

Cyprus had the most horrible background so it can't be considered serious. Bulgaria was a so-so Pink ripoff with a crappy song so it's no different than the rest of them.

You are more into Germany? I thought you liked Sweden ;)

What's "slavic" about Ukraine's ballad? If they kept the original version maybe...

Well I guess we just view it differently, Austria = Disney ballad... but that's my interpretation of it.

Cyprus & Bulgaria should have been in the final in my opinion, but offcourse it's a matter of taste.

I think Germany has the best song in the final now yes, but that wasn't really what I meant with my comment though.

What's Slavic about Ukrainian ballad? The vocals and a part of its music (esp in the verses). Or you know better than me what's slavic and what's not? ;)
Cyprus and Bulgaria shouldnt have been in the final because people together with the juries know better and they voted how it is.

Seriously, they made a somewhat Slavic ballad very generic when they updated the music and put those English lyrics in that. I mean didn't Swedes work on this new version? You may be Ukrainian, but I know a slavic ballad when I hear it.. and what they made of this song is not very genuine at all imo.

No one knows better, it's about taste... let's wait and see who voted for what first... anyways I have my own taste and it's not changing based on what people/juries voted for, and I hope that goes for most people.

Seriously, they improved a totally local Slavic ballad and made it faster.
Also don't say that it's "somewhat" Slavic ballad ;) I know about our modern music more than you.

No, people and the juries know better and this is how they decided. You can agree/disagree with the results but don't say that someone should have been in the final. These are the real results and there's nothing you can do about it.

Oh, and considering that you asked about Swedes you know nothing about the structure and creation of this song

ps. Your nihilation of my opinion, my vote, our culture and our entry is so sweet of course but can you concentarte on the topic? Or there's nothing to say about Sweden?
Swedish entry won't become better if you keep bringing down others ;)

It's not a Disney ballad. What Disney ballads does it resemble? People like to throw that term around as if Disney has a monopoly on all slow-tempo ballads with a "Western" sound.

It's an R n' B ballad.
