Three years in a row Azerbaijan has entered Eurovision with Swedish song-writers, Swedish artists or both. All three of those times, Azerbaijan finished higher than Sweden (also, none of the songwriters who have entered Eurovision for Azerbaijan has ever written songs for Melodifestivalen, as far as I know. There's lesson to be learned here!).
A Swede wrote Lipstick as well. There's a lot of song writing talent up there...

I thought Sweden would win and everyone was like "wtf?" "joking?". 3rd place. Not bad ;)

And most good song writers who can write songs with international appeal stay clear of Melodifestivalen because they know their songs wouldn't be able to win or even do well in it. Seriously, do you think "Running Scared" could've won Melodifestivalen unless it was sung as a duett between two "Schlager-profiles"? We had a modern pop song similar to "Lipstick" (not in style, though) and it didn't even make the final ("My Heart Is Refusing Me"). Swedes vote for artists first and songs second, which is why we keep hearing the same kind of songs over and over again.

Congartulations Sweden! I'm glad this was one fan favourite that did not fail in the final! Great performance yesterday, very entertaining indeed.

I am happy for this third place coz finally Sweden did a great job since 2006 BUT this means Kempe will keep coming back (F**K!) and people will vote for his songs because they'll think "oh Eric finished 3rd with a Kempe song! Let's send another one!". Plus next year's ESC will be full of Saades! Pff :/

And with Eric giving the votes for Sweden last year and representing this year, and Danny giving the votes this year; I think we already know who Kempe has in mind to represent Sweden next year.

Well done Sweden! Your best result since 1999. Eric was great, he sang well and I think he really went for it. He also has a star quality, which I think Europe embraced it. If this song was sang by a random Swedish guy, not enthusiastic, not charming and no star quality, I think you would have flopped. The choreography was great, and the glass finally broke properly. Congratulations on winning the second semi-final. You deserved it! And I'm happy that you finally managed to do well. :D

Probably I am the only one who is disappointed with his result, and think that was undeserved high placement.

I opposed him then and I still oppose him now. Me and my friends were cheering for it to drop out of the Top 5.

"This Is My Life" was good to OK. Her live performance was boring and weird.

"Popular" was tripe. His live performance, vocal aside, was good.

Just goes to show that you don't actually need a good song to do well nowadays. You don't even need to be a good singer. If you're male, young, look good and can dance, that's a whole lot of votes in the bag just there.

Well and a good song too..and by good I mean catchy.Lets be serious there are so many people who dont listen to the lyrics as long as they can dance to it and can sing it along!

I can't see Danny singing a Kempe song.

^ I think that many ppl who watching ESC just can't understand lyrics, and they judge only a performance, not quality of song.

Otherwise how is possible to compare "don't say that's impossible, cuz I know it's possible" and "I don't wanna hide, I just wanna stay free, to be me" ???

Count me in too. I have already expressed my dissatisfaction with this piece of pop vapidity at its worst. Add Saade's twatness of the highest degree and my unhappiness at the final result is immense. But it was expected in a away - the all-powerful prepubescent girl/gay vote should never be underestimated.
