"Say Yay" is definitely not as good as "Amanecer," but at least the Spanish public chose the least awful entry of the lot.

I want to like it, but I just can't. The song just doesn't scream "yay."

I agree. I want to like it and the music itself is pretty good, but it just so screeeeeeamy. BUT, that might change for the final.

This song is just a meh. Mayby the first verse is okish, but as far as the song goes, it starts to be more and more irritating. 1 point for me, just because of the nice beginning.

Eh..... There's some parts I enjoy, like the beginning and the hook, but the song's overall just not my style and it lacks a certain depth and atmosphere, feels empty. It's only a bit less annoying than "What's The Pressure", but I gave it an 8 nevertheless, because I feel that the quality is there, just not something I enjoy enough and I'm afraid it won't stay very high in my top. The performance is indeed good, though.

I usually don't listen such music - cheap dance POP hit - it's ok but there're millions similar to this. And any wish to hear it again. :( 2 pts
Maria Isabel who deserved to win this NF and even this ESC is only fourth .....

I preferred Xuso over Barei, but after seeing his performance I changed my mind. It was really awful. His staging wasn't doing anything for him and he had no happy or positive expression on his face whatsoever. So overall, I'm glad that Barei won, although it's not a masterpiece. But I quite like it, it was the best choice in my opinion. She really brought all the energy on stage

Watched last night's show, not only because of the songs and to find out who would be Spain's ESC representant, of course, but mainly for the sheer joy of listening to Spanish spoken on a truly Spanish show. I wasn't disapointed. There were a lot of people involved and they all talked their heads off, Spanish style. LOVED IT!! :D

Wasn't as happy with their final choice, tbh, though I couldn't for the life of me pick much better. I might, if pressed, have gone for Electric Nana instead, but I wasn't overall very convinced. The bearded boy's song sounded kinda nice, too, and very Spanish at that, which of course was why the international jury picked it as their favourite and all the Spaniards didn't

Barei is a very nice girl, handsome, energetic, charismatic, an Ann Sophie's improved clone as has been said before. Unfortunately her song is worse, much worse than Ann Sophie's already poor attempt. It starts off promising but it quickly goes all shades of wrong until it is just hideous noise and no melody. I can see no redeemimg features, it's just plain horrible, I don't think in a musical universe it can even be called a song. It actually makes Edurne and the notorious raaaaaaaaaaaiiiiin sound almost attractive in comparison.

Last but not least, I will be missing the Spanish language in this year's edition... Unless we get a surprise out of Norway or somewhere, lol.

Barei is the best choice which Spain could make tonight.

A very good song and Barei is very charismatic. However, it sounds at some moments like Perm it up by Rihanna.
And TBH, I prefer to see Spain between the 12th and the 16th place for one reason some people will call weird.
In Vienna, Israel and Serbia were rewarded a top 10 for singing for the first time entirely in English (yes, I didn't find Golden Boy and Beauty Neverr Lies, especially the performances that great). I don't want that the same happen to Spain. I still want, nevertheless, that Barei will get a better ranking than Edurne.
