I agree, and I see that lot of people are not realistic here, but writing their wishlists. There was another topic for those, called who you WISH TO QUALIFY. Some clearly missed the title.

The another 3 i don't care, and i have no idea.

For the other 3, it could be any of them left, I think, there is always a chance, they are pretty much on the same level of popularity.

That's true, i think only San Marino and Montenegro have no change.

Me too, but some people think Montenegro has a chance, because Balkan ballads always do well, but for me it is not well, it is dated and boring.

Aaaand finally my calculation/prediction based on voting patterns, fan polls, odds and Youtube views. Keep in mind that this does not necessarily reflect my personal opinion ... it's really just based on numbers. We don't know about the performances etc. yet so this is more of a tendency.

Without any doubt
:se: (c'mon, they're Sweden)
:nl: (good song, good performance, fan loved)
:ua: (good song, good performance, one of the most voted countries)
 (it's Alexander Rybak and, even if I hate the song and find it a joke, it's catchy and people seem to like it)
:dk: (fan loved)
:au: (they could send a goat dancing to the Harlem Shake and they will qualify)

Probably

:pl: (nice party song)
:hu: (genre)

Maybe?
:md: (best guilty pleasure ever, seems to be more loved since the live performances)

And the one left I don't really know (and kind of don't care). I wish it was Montengro because it sounds beautiful and the singer is really nice. But it could be anyone. I feel it's going to be between Russia, Slovenia and Latvia.

Man, there are so many automatic qualifiers that I fear real gems like Georgia and Hungary will be out.

Hope not ... I love them both. Georgia is in my top 10 and Hungary my No. 1 .... At least Hungary has to make it to the finals, or else I will cry or/and Scream! xcry1 SOOC

Well, :hu: has actually become some kind of an automatic qualifier as well, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it, especially with this year's entry in mind. ;)

Same like with Semi 1. Actually I was quite sure about my Top 10 in there, here I'm uncertain, but let's start

Safest qualifiers
90 % :se: A strong contender for the final Top 5. It needs heaven and hell to let this fail
90 % :au: Any voting group will support this well enough anyway and the song itself scream good result it annoys me
80 % :ua: Teens of Europe unite! Well, not sure if teens in the UK or Germany watch or vote in Eurovision, as it's not cool, but they wouldn't have a say anyway

Will make it 9/10 times
75 % :pl: The amish coming! Jokes aside: This will qualify in any possible way
65 % More a jury qualifier than a televoting fave to me, but I would honestly be surprised if thats not enough for the Q
65 % :ru: It's actually a weak song that should not qualify, right? Well, this is not a complain about diaspora voting, but the song Russia fails with has to be released yet. Maybe they should try hip hop
60 % :ro: I'm quite confident this will sneak through. It's harmless enough for this

The Borderliners
55 % :dk: Could be a surprising NQ, anyone has to fail tho. Maybe it's too much Viking Kitsch
55 % :hu: It's a strong song, but Eurovision voters will not recognize this much enough
55 % :ge: This has everything to get 80 points min. from the juries I guess, so that should be enough to qualify
50 % :rs: The televoters should vote this in their Top 10, but I'm unsure if this is enough
50 % :me: I strongly believe in their qualification, I still don't know whom they replace

The Rather-Nots
45 % :nl: A middle of the road clichéd song. Nah, that's probably not working in here
35 % :lv: I can't sey what this is missing, it's just I can't see it qualifying right now.

The Hardly-Making-It
25 % :md: Another clichéd song with a big potential to annoy the audience off. I don't see them in the final this year
15 % :sl: This is just a perfect filler with no real chance to qualify
15 % :mt: 2 songs in one and no real bridge between them? Is that the icebreaking taboo she's talking about? Anyway, I hardly see this with a Q

The Never
5 % :sm: Funny to say this, but they only stand a chance with Ralph Siegel it seems

as unpredictable as i feel this semifinal is and as not confident as i am on my predictions, they haven't really changed in a month. i still don't really think :ru: and specially :ro: can ride status quo against running order trends and stronger jury acts and knock at least one of :au::nl::dk::no: out or have six first half acts advancing. i still think both flop, :ro: almost guaranteed to.

I know that I am one of rare people saying this here, but maybe :se: won't do as well as predicted, because that song got almost worst reviews and comments all around internet, even worse than Iceland. I don't know who will vote for it, if people are annoyed by it to the bits. As far as I am not concerned about :cz: American song, I am concerned about :se: American song. Reviews are really horrible. Also this is the first year that Swedish entry is almost not talked about, people forget that it even exist in the contest. They are usually the ones that people talk most about, and now hype is all dead, even staging doesn't save it.

Iolita, i don´t think you should worry.

We will qualify, i´m quite sure Sweden will win Semi 2. :)

I also have seen your commentes several times and this hate against our songs is not something new, it has been this way for the past years, just have to accept it.

As for hype, it was no hype for Frans either and he came in 5th place.

I also think it will be more "hype and talk" when the rehearsals starts and he can show of his stage show in front of press and "experts" in Europe.

Since the promotion for our entry this year is based on his music video and not the actual performance from Melfest i think many that review our song, experts and common people base their reviews on the music video. The video itself is good but the stage show is something else!

I think many have not even seen his stage show at all (except all ESC fans of course), so when people see this on stage for the first time they will clearly be impressed by it.
At first i thought they should have used his stage preformance as promo but now I think it was clever of his record company and SVT to not use it, now as said it will be a suprise for most of the viewers.

We will see how they recreate his preformance from Melfest, according to Benjamin as i understand it they can not transport the whole light construction to Lisabon so they will have to build up a new one at ESC, the goal is that it will look even better, probably quite expansive though.

Greetings from Sweden!

Greetings from Sweden!

Thanks for nice reply, so kind of you! :) I wasn't familiar with all that hate situation, even though I am fan of the contest since 2003, but during these past six years I had lots of responsibilities on the university and I was very busy, and I watched it mainly on TV only. Now I have more time to track this more with fandom. :D I love your song, because it for me represents nice mix of all the music I appreciate and love the most- music vibes from 80's ( Michael Jackson, Bee Gees, George Michael) and modern music I listen these days the most ( Charlie Puth, Daft Punk, Weekend). I mean it in a good way, it is INSPIRED, not copy. I guess it is hard to be fan of any Swedish entry during the past years, but my favorites were only Euphoria and Dance You Off, and all your other entries in this decade were in my top 10 always, because I love the modern pop music, and yes, to be true, Swedes really do put that kind of music in the charts, so that is your trademark, like trademark of my country is Balkan ethno, end people must learn to not expect it otherwise, it is just the way it is, each country has some music trademark. I heard in Benjamin's interviews that they are building new lights, because those past were too big to transport it to Lisbon, but that the performance will stay the same or better. Also Benjamin is currently making new music video for the song with choreography from Mellfest, but I don't know what that is for. This song maybe won't win this year, but I love it and don't really wanna see it flops. So I wish you best of luck, from Serbia! :) xcheer xcrossed Other people here, sorry for off-topic.
