Finland, Switzerland & Iceland made me happy :) I would rather have Turkey instead of some for the lame pop "we cannot sing live" songs (as I stated earlier is that live singing is a lost art :()

Did somebody have problem with voting? At polish forum smb wrote, that for about 30 minutes couldn't give vote for countries 1-5: Poland, Norway, Albania, Armenia and Turkey. And when smb sent message during voting, got back massage, that his vote is offise, because time ended, which was not true.

EDIT:
Friend from Hungary had the same problem!

Maybe this results are only jury votes?

I'm really really happy with the qualifiers :) Happy that my faves are safely in. I'm sad that Aurela is sitting out :( As for Portugal, that was expected, so I won't be throwing a big party

Wow some of the crappiest songs got through imo.

So this is officially not a song contest anymore, it's not even a performance contest anymore..

You can have the crappiest song and the most boring performance but as long you sing it well juries will support you... wow...

2009 > 2010 > 2011

With the juries the quality of songs are falling every year imo. I mean Lithuania!?!? C'mon someone must be joking with me.. isn't this suppose to be a SONG contest?

Next year they don't have to spend all those money on stage and effects, because it's obviously forbidden to put on a show.. the more boring the performance, the "better" it is.

Well I as a viewer want to be entertained, otherwise I could just listen to this on the radio.

So pleased Lithuania got through. I couldn't even remember the song, but the vocals were just stunning. Pretty much an outdated song, and not something I'd usually go for, but I found it strangely captivating, so I voted for it twice. Shame about Poland because I liked the song, but her vocals tonight were poor. I think that probably cost her that place in the final.

If only Greece and Russia were exchanged with Norway and Poland these would be a pretty decent results. But we cannot make anything about it...

The best post I read tonight!

Germans didn't pass the exam from the Eurovision Song Contest organisation. And now is this affair about televoting :/

So basically what you're saying is that the song doesn't matter? Well we got shows called Idol/X-factor etc. where the only effort you have to come up with is your voice.. but if it's a song contest then if the songs isn't even remembered then does it really matter if it was well sung? I just wonder.

Instead of Norway, Poland, Albania; there are Finland, Lithuania, Iceland pfff...

In absence of Turkey & Albania, our diaspora votes will go to Azerbaijan & Bosnia I guess.

Lithuania is for me just another song with a great singer but with a dull/bad song. I always feel a bit sorry for the fact that those singers don't get something really good to sing.

It doesn't matter, the juries like them anyways so they can sing whatever crap.

Sadly though the juries forgot this is also a song contest, but I guess those days are over when also that counted for something.

this doesn't really make sense lol :)
Lol, badly worded by me there! I meant that I'd listened to the songs before, but even though it didn't stand out enough for me to remember it the first time, but I really liked it on the night.

No, I'm not saying that at all. I like the song, even though it is quite old fashioned (not my usual taste either). See above for my clarification :p
