I can't believe people like this! Is it the effect of it being so incredibly awful it becomes good, or just liking it for the sake of being different?! Hands down I could've written and sang a better song than this.

I like it because it sounds like a branch of music I listen to a lot that I never thought I'd see on the Eurovision stage and have no "so bad it's good" feelings about it either. Is that a reason you can maybe wrap your head around? I'm happy to elaborate if not.

Honestly, who cares about the song; what I really do love is the massive .gif potential in the video. Look how happy he is about our dear Michał’s birthday greetings!

The heavy accent puts me off. The song is okay as backing music in a restaurant. Just pick a singer with less creepy looks and a softer accent.
Or just ask Valentina to record the song herself. Problem solved.

This is just San Marino being San Marino.

Edit: This actually is far more interesting than the rest, so for now, after Jamala, I have to accept ESC's fate: Serhat is second on my list.

I use to watch and hear the song more often to laugh my ass of but meanwhile I start to like this song in a non-humorous way. Some parts are nice melodywise and the whole song is soothing and is giving me a good feeling. I don't feel distracted by his voice, in my opinion this song doesn't need a super-emotional, whiny and eclectic voice, it just needs a deep and masculine voice so Serhat is a good singer for this.
Of course the cheesiness factor in this song is almost over the top but yeah, it's ESC we are talking about

I don't see your list. You have to make it official - write it as you signature...

What as backing music in a restaurant ... no...no, at the most, as working music for the dishwasher

I agree, there is something quite soothing and pleasant about it, the chorus especially! Help, I think this is growing on me.

It made me laugh. The mix of this song with this videoclip makes it seem like a parody about love songs. And the way he stares at the camera when he says "I didn't know". I think it's hilarious!

His accent is terrible. Video is terrible. His voice is not pleasant. The lyrics are bad. But the melody is... ok.

I always feel like people here are very critical about San Marino, while they actually don't send worse songs than other countries. Don't be ashamed of enjoying a Sammarinese entry people! So far, most of their songs have been very melodic, with arrangements and structures that were rather interesting compared to the usual ESC pop song formula (thanks Ralph btw).

I don't mean their efforts are out of this world or anything - tastes differ - but musically speaking, their entries are nothing but terrible.

Love it, Love it, Love it!

The vocals are so understated.... first time listeners will be problematic, but i can see the song and video having a "meme factor" that will make sure many are gonna be familiar with this before the big night. The comments are really amusing too, here and elsewhere. In fact both the comment and the "meme factor" is very much like Cezar, who ended up being celebrated here as everyone who hated it in the beginning suddenly "got" the song.... for that matter, can you imagine a Cezar / Serhat duo?

MAH OVARIES

Then of course, i'm curious how they will stage this.... i hope they'll go for something similar to the video, with a chair, table and various props, maybe a even fancier monocle.... GO FOR IT! xyaay

Enjoy this in the best possble way. It might be the last time we see San Marino on the Eurovision stage.... With the new voting system and a bad result San Marino is likely to withdraw next year.

The very existence of this country is like trolling to me. So why not have that reflected in their ESC entries??

I'm excited about his performance on stage. It has good chances of being iconic. Might just create a new cult.

And by the way, he is smoking hot.

4 points.

Obviously, it´s more a melodrama (in the original sense of the word) than a typical Eurovision song and I can understand why it´s not spontaneously loved by most of the forum members, but it has a certain chansonesque charm, especially with the congenially surreal video. I am still not sure how to count this song, but you can definitely count me among the fans of it.

I wonder if he couldn't even make that more charming, when he would decide to sing in italian - with a broad turkish accent. That would be fabulous!:D
