Eurovision has turned into a bad tasting circus, then don't complain about the contest's status if this song wins, it doesn't have an international projection, i can't see this at the top charts of any country but Russia more than 1 week.

The french entry or the spanish one are more friendly internationally, these are rhythms that overall demographics would like as their rhythm is more general.

Not true. The song has 8 million views on his channel and is pretty much topping Russian charts. This is a hit. Unlike "A million voices", "You are the only one" is a typical Sergey Lazarev song. He is authentic. He is himself. That's why he will win.

Problem is, a lot of artists are theirself. Douwe Bob for example, 'Slow Down' is a typical Douwe Bob song, he is authentic and himself. But that doesn't make it a winner song for those reasons.

And to be honest, there's a lot to say about 'You Are The Only One', but you cannot say it's authentic and original, the song contains pretty much all the ESC clichés, regardless if you like the song. Not saying that you therefor dislike the song.

Nobody said that it's original. But let's not pretend that Barei, Hovi or Amir are original please. Because neither of those is.
I think the only original artists this year are Nina Kraljic from Croatia (the dress is unique) and Iveta from Armenia. Everything else has been done before. Even Jamala.

According to Russian Airplay Chart this song is on #134 place this week. And the peak position is #125. Poory result for such a hit.
It's funny but I have just found the result of 'J'ai Cherche' by Amir on Russia's Airplay and it debuted this week at #26.
