I was not referring to your post. Just expressing my opinion on this soul-less, mechanical, artificial russian approach of "winning by any means". In my opinion the music should be the main aspect.

Well, this method "winning by any means" has been used quite a lot. Two countries are on my mind: Sweden and Azerbaijan.

But, yea, that's also my opinion.

No, you are not alone. Welcome to the club. Although the dumb lyrics are not my biggest concern. Russia will win because...
- the singer is considered very handsome
- the stage show will be bombastic so no one has to pay attention to the song
- Russia will traditionally get the highest points from its geographic neighbours who never cared about the Russian song (Georgia, Armenia, Aserbaidjan, Belarus etc.), and this effect will be even greater this year because of the new voting system
