People need to stop pulling the politics/russophobe card. In the end it's all about the music. This song winning the world's biggest music competition would be like a really bad joke - no matter what country had send it. Have you actually listened to it!? It's trash. There's no way around it.

I don't entirely approve of the juries' taste, but they definitely did their job when it comes to this song, and I'm so thankful for that.

Though I really love Jamala as a winner, I just want you to remember how harsh the reaction was last year, when the televote had Italy as a winner and the juries helped Mans to take the victory. This year, the televote clearly had Sergey as the winner....

The jury reveal showed for everybody to see too

Her song never should have been accepted in the first place but of course it was just like they ignored the breaking of rules in Australia's song

I really don't follow you in this part: " they ignored the breaking of rules in Australia's song ".
Exactly what rule did Dami Im break???

She used the word face-time. Which can be interpreted as a brand. (cf Facebook in San Marino's song)

Call me Russophobe, fangirl, politic but Russia would not deserve winning. It was a dated cliche song turned great by staging.

Because Italy winning the televote is more credible than Russia winning it. It's just how it is.

It's been like an hour since the end of the show and I don't even remember it now.

I never liked Jamala's song. In the 2nd semi, I used it for the toilett break - literally. Today was the first time I actually listened through. Probably one the worst winners in the last 20 years - even latvian song from 2003 is more memorable :)

both won the televote. that's just how it is... There is no "credibility"-issue here.

Well, Sergey is awesome singer, and it's nice that he won the televoting. I think we should stop to participating here

If you do this, then, you will let European politicians to win. Heads up and come back next year - and fucking rock the Kiev next year so hard that people will forget to shit :)

Sergey is the real winner.

Last year the televoting difference between Italy and Russia was the biggest ever and the winner came 3rd in televoting. This year, the difference was rather small between Russia and Ukraine.

You just won audience's reward. I don't see anything related to withdraw here.

Well the VERY political jury voting reveal was a major slap in the face if you ask me xshrug

I don't think Russia will withdraw anyway. Their the type of animal that never backs down and bites back harder after getting bitten  which is why they always cause controversy

Absolutely not.

Send something original ffs. Russian is fantastic in songs, use it.

I'm happy with Ukraine winning, cause she's a wonderful artist and I like her song.
At the same time I'm sorry for Sergey. Beeing such a huge favorite and then finishing only third is very disappointing. I think he would also have been a great winner.

What about AUSTRALIA!!! :( They were in top, but all you could think of was... "better be Ukraine then Russia"... My lord... And all this whining about: Eurovision isn't about politics... Jesus, I rest my case.... it's ALL about politicals... EASTERN politicals!!!!

No. I voted for Ukraine (and Italy, Latvia and Belgium for that matter) because this is such a distinctive song which oozes quality and she gives me goosebumps while performing it. Watching some Ukrainian nationalist propaganda wouldn't have the same effect on me at all, at least not in a positive way.

People tend to make excuses to ease their disappointment. Many believe we (the Netherlands) were robbed two years ago because the 'statement' overruled our 'quality'. I don't like that black-and-white thinking at all.
