This is exactly what I am saying here for two months in this thread. But people simply ignore me - regardless of numberless arguments I put forward.

But, I am still proud of European audience/viewers: they dont care about politics so much. They voted in the end for the song they liked :)

Yeah, thank God for the public. I swear your everyday people are not as hateful as some people on this forum.

I do hope that we remember just why the EBU brought back jury voting to the ESC: it was so that some degree of professional judgement would start to counter petty nationalism and media-driven populism. Seems to be working out pretty well. We got a much better winner tonight than if we'd relied on all that diaspora and bloc voting nonsense.

Great new voting system - so dramatic! Congrats to Ukraine, bad luck Australia and Russia.

Well, if a country is allowed to sing about how a county departed people... like 70 years ago... and by that frase telling more or less the whole EAST to vote for just this county singing this song... then this contest is more or less political bullshit!!!! :?: :?

Russia or Australia is the real winner...Ukraine is a political and a jury-winner....

If we competed with this song, we probably wouldn't make it to finals.

Many of u say they were discriminated and I say they were privileged cause nobody else would pull off 3rd place with this song.

Be happy, and Russia, send something original next year, pls.

And neither would you with Ukraine's or Australia's. Your point?

:) But was it because of the juries? :)

Well it's a toss between jury rigging and diaspora voting. Choose the lesser evil. Sure the juries voted favorably for my favs this year, but their voting last year was awful. I do like the balance jury and televotes create tho. They are both systems that have been heavily abused.

Russia would have been the poorest winner in years, I am glad the juries put it right where it belonged - not in the top.

Not in the bottom either, Sergey is a credible performer; he gave all he had and seems to be a likable guy as well.

Some say Russia only lost because of politics, I say it did not.

Well, no matter how much the Russophobes try to justify Ukraine's victory, just go and read what people write on the Eurovision.tv - I think that Europe is upset - second year in the row :)

And just as predictable as the show itself here come the fanboys to gloat about "justice"

Let them wank. I wonder how long Jamala's will be played on radios... I bet in two weeks people wont even remember it. :)

On the other hand, Sergey was really liked by Slovenians :) He should build on this good impression and perhaps come and visit us here... And maybe give us a good concert :)

What about AUSTRALIA!!! :( They were in top, but all you could think of was... "better be Ukraine then Russia"... My lord... And all this whining about: Eurovision isn't about politics... Jesus, I rest my case.... it's ALL about politicals... EASTERN politicals!!!!

The jury reveal showed for everybody to see too

Her song never should have been accepted in the first place but of course it was just like they ignored the breaking of rules in Australia's song. Guess who the jury's top two were?
