I don't think that that the song is outdated and the performance is over the top - I'd actually say those are facts, not anyone's opinion. But some people like that, some not.

I don't have a problem with him trying, my problem is that it seems really fake. I want all the best to people who try from their heart to succeed, but it seems that Russia wants to win just for the sake of winning. And that's sad.

I think you're using the word 'fact' in the proper context. Whether a performance is over the top, is completely subjective, therefore cannot be considered a fact. That's like saying it's a fact that I look good in Red when somebody else thinks I look better in blue. It's an opinion. I don' think it's over the top, I think it's actually quite creative and entertaining. You obviously don't agree but it still doesn't make it a fact.

I think you have to edit your first sentence. :D :D I get what you're saying, but I said it's a fact because there's something big going on on the stage every single second. It feels like they even told him "now here at this exact millisecond you do this! Don't screw up because you'll fall!" :D As he did on a rehearsal. So...yeah, I'd say that's over the top.

Yes, there's supposed to be a NOT in there :). What you're saying is a valid criticism and even though I may not agree with it, I can respect it. Just using the term 'fact' is confusing when referring to an opinion.

That being said: GO SERGEY!

Sergey is a class act and one of the most friendly artists I met this year. I wish him nothing but the best and would be thrilled if he ends up victorious tonight. I'm keeping it about the music and Russia takes it seriously. Yes, some people think it's outdated, some think the performance is over the top. But one thing you can't say is that they aren't trying. I wish the U.K., Germany and several other countries would actually learn from this.

I will vote for three countries tonight and Russia will be one of them.

You can focus on purely music as much as you want, but If Russia DO win, then the music dies and all we're left with is Russia hosting next year. No thanks. I'll stick to hoping Russia don't win, although I think they will.

Yep, I'll stick to supporting my favorite entries. And I don't know how the music would die. Obviously people are against a Russian victory due to the political situations so we shouldn't blame the music.

And I'm predicting the opposite. I don't think they will win even though I'd want them to.

1st in televoting, 3rd in total. Just like Italy last year. Stupid jury voting can go to hell!

I'm satisfied Russia didn't win. They didn't deserve to win over Ukraine or Australia.

Yep, rigged. i am so proud of SLovenian televoters, we gave Russia 10 points - if we discount our 12 points to Serbia because of the Serbian minority living here, Russia is the real winner of the Slovenian televote! Congrats. Sergey, you didn't have chance in this political voting of the juries. They completely embarassed themselves. And congrats to Cyprus and Greece to standing up/going against the imperatives from the West :) One more year when the winner was decided by juries. Yuck.

Couldn't they have disqualified Sergey for being Russian instead of slaughtering him like that? Or made it less obvious they don't want the contest held in Russia?

Kinda sad, Mans didnt win the televote but won the contest, Sergey won the televote but didnt win contest.
Jamala is godes performer, her voice remind me diva from 5th element movie, but she clearly has a political song and it won just because of politics.

I feel naughty, but I cannot help myself: I hope Ukraine pays the bill for gas till the next year to Russia, cuz otherwise I am not sure how our Western lords will sit in the cold arena
